However, Symbiogenesis is not a sequel to *Parasite Eve*. Let's focus instead on what it truly is: Symbiogenesis is a new NFT collectible art project that doubles as both a social media profile picture (PFP) and a player's wedge into the game world—connecting players directly to the gameplay experience. With every decision and action taken by players, additional narrative layers unfold through their NFTs—a process known as “NFT-unlocked storytelling.” This may very well represent the meaning behind the term “symbiosis” in the game’s title.
According to currently revealed information, the storyline of Symbiogenesis is divided into two categories: main storyline and character-specific narratives. Players who complete certain chapters early gain whitelist access to future character NFT drops.
The main storyline consists of six full chapters accessible to all players without any NFT requirement.
Character-specific narratives are exclusive to holders of corresponding character NFTs, unlocked progressively by completing new tasks and chapters.
This unique design ensures that every player can enjoy the core content of the game, while NFT holders gain deeper insight into characters and story background.
As a high-quality Web3 game, Symbiogenesis showcases many advantages in openness, decentralization, and trustless virtual economies. However, traditional gamers’ skepticism toward NFTs and blockchain remains a challenge. If major IPs like those from Square Enix can attract mainstream players into Web3 gaming, breaking down reputational barriers, this emerging gaming ecosystem could reach increasingly wider audiences.

2. METAPIXEL
METAPIXEL is an ambitious project aiming to become the leading game ecosystem on APTOS. The team also boasts strong Web2 gaming pedigree—its creator, NPIXEL, previously developed the Korean game *Granado Espada*, demonstrating extensive game development experience and robust technical capabilities.
Recently, METAPIXEL unveiled its 2023 game lineup:
1. GranSaga: Unlimited
GranSaga: Unlimited is a WEB3 MMORPG based on the mobile IP GRANSAGA, scheduled for official release in the second half of this year. This PC game has undergone over a year of development and is expected to integrate seamlessly with item trading and in-game ecosystems on the APTOS chain, offering players a richer and more immersive gaming experience.
2. CATCHA
CATCHA is METAPIXEL’s original NFT collectible series. Featuring cat-themed PFP NFTs issued on the APTOS chain, these digital assets will offer users diverse profile picture options, enhancing social interaction within the gaming community.
3. PixelCraft
PixelCraft is a sandbox platform provided by METAPIXEL, designed to serve as a testing ground for interoperability among various APTOS-based NFTs such as GRANSAGA and CATCHA. Its development is poised to significantly drive DApp innovation on APTOS, delivering richer and broader application scenarios for players.
Given the current lack of DApps in the APTOS ecosystem, the network may provide substantial support to NPIXEL. Thus, METAPIXEL’s progress holds significant positive implications for APTOS—meeting player demand while simultaneously accelerating ecosystem growth.
3. Codename Renegades

In the game, players and traders can use their assets to earn more, and trade earnings with others. By completing weekly missions and PvE challenges, players earn the game’s native token, $RAC, which allows participation in the in-game economy.
The project’s most innovative feature lies in its NFT skin evolution system. At the start of each RENEGADES season, the in-game store releases new base NFT skins available only during that season—an exclusive opportunity for every gaming enthusiast.
Players can evolve these base skins by spending $RAC or purchasing upgrades from other players or the in-game store. These skins are purely cosmetic and confer no gameplay advantage, but they enhance or transform the player’s in-game experience, serving as a truly unique form of personal expression.
Codename Renegades aims to deeply immerse players in its futuristic sci-fi universe, allowing them to enjoy boundless imagination and creativity. What kind of Web3 game is most compelling? Sufficient funding + Vision + Strong team = Answer. Among this year’s new projects, I’ve found one that perfectly fits this equation—AVALON.
AVALON has raised $13 million in funding led by Bitkraft Ventures, Hashed, Delphi Digital, and Mechanism Capital, with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Yield Guild Games, Merit Circle, Avocado Guild, and Morningstar Ventures.
Sean Pinnock, co-founder and CEO of Avalon, has long dreamed of creating an eternal digital world—AVALON’s ultimate goal is to build a permanent, on-chain, massively multiplayer online game. In addition, Avalon plans to use the funds to develop foundational infrastructure for the entire Web3 gaming universe, tackling issues like real-time interactions, scalability, and user-friendly tools.
With sufficient capital and a powerful vision guiding the way, how does the team stack up? According to disclosed information, AVALON’s leadership includes veterans from development teams behind iconic titles such as *Call of Duty*, *Diablo*, *God of War*, *Assassin’s Creed*, and *Elden Ring*.
