SERAPH: In the Darkness is a PC online game and a flagship blockchain-powered Loot Game. Its defining feature is that key virtual items acquired through purchase or combat within the game are tokenized as NFTs on the blockchain, granting players verifiable ownership and the ability to freely trade or monetize them as digital assets. Players can choose from various classes such as warrior or mage, and explore diverse regions like Fjord Camp, Valley of Death, and Church Dungeon. Using advanced skills, spells, and powerful weapons, they battle formidable monsters and loot tiered virtual items. NFT drops can be sold on public marketplaces to other players for cryptocurrency, exchanged for other in-game items, or upgraded into rarer, more valuable NFTs.

SERAPH: In the Darkness is the latest title developed by Actoz’s overseas subsidiary. Actoz Soft (Yedoosoft Co., Ltd.) is South Korea’s first-generation online game company founded in 1996 and listed on the Korean KOSDAQ market in August 2001 (KOSDAQ: 052790). The company has successfully launched renowned online games including Thousand, Legend series, and Rainbow Island, amassing over 600 million registered users worldwide.
The development team behind SERAPH: In the Darkness comprises over 60 members. Project lead Joseph LIM brings 20 years of game development and operations experience, having worked on major titles such as Legend, Hot Blood Jianghu, and Dungeon & Fighter. Victor KWON, the tech director for programming, has over two decades of experience in game development. Alan CHU, tech director overseeing the blockchain module, previously led cryptographic security initiatives at Amazon and Google. Additionally, the game’s economic system is designed by Ken CHOUNG, a senior token economy expert. With such expertise, players can expect SERAPH: In the Darkness to deliver not only visually stunning and realistic graphics but also innovative gameplay and a robust, long-term sustainable in-game economy.
Blockchain Technology Ensures Security of Virtual Assets
As a blockchain game, SERAPH: In the Darkness naturally features a compelling in-game economic system. It ensures that critical digital assets—including equipment, consumables, runes, land, titles, and other NFTs—are immutable and securely owned by players. NFTs can be obtained via marketplace purchases, earned through combat, or minted directly in-game. Players may pay using traditional payment methods or cryptocurrencies. Regardless of acquisition method, players retain full control over their assets. Neither the developer nor publisher can unilaterally alter, confiscate, invalidate, or cause the loss of player-owned assets through centralized intervention—transfer or trading requires explicit authorization via blockchain signature from the owner. Once acquired, SERAPH NFTs can be freely traded on the blockchain.
