Countdown 10 days! First 50 guests confirmed for POW'ER 2020 DEFI Innovators Conference
The first batch of 50 confirmed guests includes heavyweight participants from the popular DeFi sector, covering key figures from public chains, wallets, trading platforms, and investment institutions.
From September 28 to 29, the "POW'ER 2020 DeFi Innovators Summit" will be held at The St. Regis Shenzhen (Click to secure tickets). Today, the first batch of 50 confirmed speakers has been announced, bringing together heavyweight participants from popular DeFi sectors and featuring key figures from public blockchains, wallets, trading platforms, and investment institutions.

DeFi is comprehensively reshaping the crypto market and fintech landscape, creating new history for blockchain and digital finance. This summit will connect leading global DeFi innovators, industry pioneers, and top-tier research and investment institutions, offering deep insights into technology and industry trends while exploring the next frontier of blockchain and digital finance innovation. Discussions on hot assets and investment strategies across primary and secondary markets will also be central themes.
At this summit, Wang Feng, founder of Mars Finance and Consensus Lab, will engage in a live dialogue with FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) titled "Mid-Game Chessboard of DeFi." The mid-game phase in Go is the most captivating stage, reflecting not only the continuation of opening strategies but also a player’s skill level and strategic style. As DeFi enters its mid-game phase, how will SBF—positioned at the center of this game—make his moves and interpret today’s DeFi landscape?
Notably, SBF's FTX became a dark horse among crypto exchanges within just one year, successfully identifying and supporting some of the most discussed and hottest projects during this “war” of DeFi. His initial venture, Alameda Research, has grown into one of the largest liquidity providers and market makers in the digital currency market, spanning trading, OTC, research, and analysis, while continuously expanding its DeFi investment portfolio.
Feng Bo, founder of Dragonfly Capital, will also attend the summit, sharing his profound reflections on entrepreneurship and investing, along with sharp insights into emerging trends. As a seasoned investor who has navigated China’s startup ecosystem for over two decades, he founded Cyzone Ventures during the internet era, backing now-household names such as Dianping, Jiayuan.com, Meitu, and Xunlei. In 2018, entering the crypto era, he launched Dragonfly Capital, turning his focus toward the imaginative world of blockchain and digital assets.
Since its inception, Dragonfly Capital has quietly and swiftly established early positions in the DeFi space with forward-looking vision, becoming an early backer of dozens of prominent DeFi projects including MakerDAO (stablecoin), UMA (derivatives and oracles), dYdX (derivative trading platform), Nuo (lending protocol), 1inch (DEX aggregator), and Compound (decentralized lending protocol).
Beyond these two marquee sessions, the summit will cover seven core topics, with the organizing committee appointing seven industry leaders—including Leon Li, CEO of Huobi Global and founder of Ontology; Blue Fox, founder of BlueFox Notes; and Mia Deng, Managing Partner of Dragonfly Capital China—as topic chairs to highlight key industry concerns. Attendees include Stani Kulechov, founder of Aave; Da Hongfei, founder of Neo; Justin Sun, founder of TRON; Ge Yuesheng, CEO of Matrixport; Mike Cao, founder of dForce; Tang Hongbo, founder of DeBank; Qu Junjie, CTO of PlatON; Zhou Shuoji, founder of FBG; Lin Jiapeng, founder of LinkVC, as well as explorers of public chain-based DeFi such as Nervos, Conflux, and QuarkChain.
Currently, invitations have been extended to Rune Christensen, founder of MakerDAO; Robert Leshner, founder of Compound; Kain Warwick, founder of Synthetix; Sergey Nazarov, founder of Chainlink; and Hayden Adams, founder of Uniswap.
Preview of Key Topics:
Topic One: DeFi – Flipping the “Decentralization” Cube
Disruptive technologies often appear like toys at first and are thus overlooked. DeFi perfectly embodies this adage—this past summer, DeFi turned red-hot, shaking the entire crypto asset ecosystem.
Topic Two: How to DeFi
While DeFi infrastructure adoption is underway, widespread user adoption remains limited. How can ordinary users get started with DeFi? And how can they identify investment traps in DeFi assets?
Topic Three: DeFi – How Far to a Trillion-Dollar Market Cap?
Venture capitalists love hunting billion-dollar innovations hiding in plain sight—but DeFi has the potential to create trillion-dollar value, and the window of opportunity may just be opening.
Topic Four: Beyond Ethereum – Are There Better Alternatives for DeFi?
Ethereum has reaped massive benefits from DeFi’s rise. But DeFi may no longer belong solely to Ethereum: on one hand, other public chains are aggressively investing in DeFi; on the other, many new DeFi applications are actively seeking platforms beyond Ethereum.
Topic Five: $1 Billion Investment Opportunities and Hot DeFi Sectors
Stablecoins, DEXs, lending, derivatives, insurance, oracles, NFTs… DeFi sub-sectors are flourishing spectacularly. Where will the first wave of billion-dollar investment opportunities emerge?
Topic Six: How DEXs Are Reshaping Crypto Trading
Uniswap’s trading volume once surpassed that of regulated centralized exchange Coinbase. It’s hard to grasp how astonishing this is. As DEXs increasingly pressure CEXs, what further changes await the crypto trading landscape?
Topic Seven: Public Chain Evolution and Leapfrogging
With DeFi igniting the crypto market, major public chains and wallet providers are pouring capital, technology, and talent into the space. Can they seize this pivotal moment of opportunity?
The full agenda and additional keynote speakers will be released progressively. Follow Mars Finance (WeChat: hxcj24h) for the latest updates.
The summit is expected to attract over a thousand global practitioners from the blockchain and internet industries, tech elites, and representatives from hundreds of companies and projects across the industrial chain. In addition to main-stage keynotes, lightning talks, investment strategy sessions, and NFT art exhibitions and auctions, Mars Blockchain will co-host multiple networking receptions and engaging side events with partners.
