Everything You Need to Know About the Web3 Robots Sector
Compiled a selection of representative projects from the sector, each contributing to the future of the robotics economy at different levels.
Robots, once mere mechanical entities confined to science fiction, have gradually moved from laboratories into production lines, logistics centers, and service industries, driven by the widespread adoption of Web2's foundational platforms and smart devices. Over the past decade, machines have achieved partial automation but remained constrained by closed platforms and centralized control. This is gradually changing with the emergence of Web3.
Robots are no longer just hardware—they are economic agents on the blockchain. The data they generate, actions they perform, and value they produce can now be recorded, incentivized, and traded. When combined with AI, robots are redefining the boundary between the physical and digital worlds.
Below are some representative or frequently discussed projects in this space, each contributing to the future of the robot economy at different levels.
OpenMind
Dubbed the "Android of robotics," OpenMind has developed OM1—the first fully open-source, AI-native robot operating system (MIT License, GitHub with 2.5k+ stars, 500+ global contributors). It supports mainstream hardware including humanoid, quadruped, robotic arms, and mobile bases, offering full-stack capabilities such as localization, mapping, planning, remote monitoring, and human takeover.
Its FABRIC layer is a decentralized AI control protocol enabling large-scale robot collaboration, trust networks, ZK auditing, machine identity verification, and micropayment incentives (in partnership with Circle), allowing robots to share knowledge, coordinate tasks, and form a shared intelligence network.

//////////////////
The robot赛道 did not emerge out of nowhere—it is the result of gradual maturation in automation, AI, and Web3 infrastructure. On-chain identity, incentive, and settlement mechanisms have opened new possibilities for machines to participate in economic activities.
Currently, most projects are focused on building foundational capabilities, with large-scale real-world applications still in early stages. Tokens primarily serve to bootstrap ecosystems, and their long-term value will depend on actual deployment and usage.
Whether robots will become a significant part of Web3 remains to be seen—but starting from 2024, this sector has transitioned from pure concept to a phase that can be continuously observed.
We will continue to track project progress, TGE timelines, and real-world adoption in this space, updating and supplementing as necessary.
