$119 million in funding, here's how to participate in the Aztec Network testnet interaction
Aztec Network's core goal is to bring programmable privacy to the Ethereum ecosystem, protecting user data and transaction details while maintaining blockchain's public verifiability.

Although market sentiment is low and prospects for airdrops seem uncertain, for dedicated bounty hunters, "claiming everything available" remains the best strategy to endure bull and bear cycles.
Today we introduce Aztec Network (@aztecnetwork), a privacy-focused abstraction solution.
Aztec Network is an Ethereum-based, privacy-first Layer 2 solution that leverages zero-knowledge proof technology to provide low-cost, private transactions and decentralized applications for the Ethereum ecosystem. Its core mission is to bring programmable privacy to Ethereum, protecting user data and transaction details while preserving blockchain's public verifiability.
In short, Aztec uses zero-knowledge proofs to make transactions both cheap and private, while enabling developers to build privacy-preserving applications on Ethereum.
As early as 2021, Aztec Network raised $17 million in a round led by Paradigm. In 2022, it secured another $100 million in funding led by a16z, with participation from Alliance DAO, IOSG Ventures, and other institutions. Combined with its earlier $2.1 million seed round, total funding reaches $119 million.
On May 1st, Aztec Network officially launched its public testnet. Current main interaction methods include node operation and testnet ecosystem engagement. Given the high configuration requirements for running nodes, this article focuses on testnet interactions, wallet registration, and dApp exploration within the Aztec ecosystem.

Aztec Testnet Interaction
-
Visit https://play.aztec.network/alpha-testnet/, select Aztec Testnet, and create an abstract account. The creation and deployment process may be slow but will eventually succeed. Once completed, all data will be saved in your browser.

-
Proceed to voting: click 【easy private voting】

-
Then click 【DEPLOY/LOAD CONTRACT】 and set your wallet account as the voting administrator.

-
Create a token: click 【Simple Token】

-
Click 【DEPLOY/LOAD CONTRACT】, enter token name, symbol, and set decimals to 18.

*Each step takes time—please be patient. You can check the current progress via the status bar on the right.

Upon completion, a success message will appear on the right.

-
Create an Obsidion Wallet
-
Go to: https://app.obsidion.xyz/
-
Log in with a Google account (optional), then create an account. It may show failure, but the process is actually successful.

-
Select "Import Account" and log in using the previously created account.

-
Choose 【Settings】→【Secret Key】to export your private key.

-
Get Testnet Tokens (Faucet)
After successfully registering an Obsidion Wallet, you have two options to claim test tokens:
-
Claim directly on the Obsidion Wallet account page—however, this method has a high failure rate.

-
First obtain USDC test tokens from Circle’s official faucet, then bridge them via human.tech.
First go to: http://faucet.circle.com → 【Select USDC】 → 【Ethereum Sepolia Testnet】 → 【Enter your EVM address (not the Obsidion wallet just registered)】 → 【Claim USDC】

After claiming, visit https://bridge.human.tech/, connect both your funded EVM wallet and your new Obsidion wallet, then perform the cross-chain transfer.

-
Mint NFTs on RAVEN HOUSE, an Aztec Ecosystem Application
-
Visit: https://app.ravenhouse.xyz/, click 【Create Collection】

-
Fill in the highlighted fields with random content; upload two random images.

-
Fill in other data according to personal preference.

-
Subsequent steps allow optional addition of NFT content or can be skipped.

Final Result

-
Fill out the Registration Form for Nemi DEX, an Aztec Ecosystem Application
Visit: https://tally.so/r/nP4VE1, submit your information to apply for alpha testing access.

Summary
As a well-funded testnet project, Aztec Network is now under close attention from the airdrop farming community. Due to slow testnet processing speeds and occasional lags during token claiming and cross-chain operations, it is recommended to avoid peak network hours when interacting.
Good things come to those who wait. Even amid a market downturn, promising projects like Aztec continue to emerge, offering hope and opportunity for airdrop enthusiasts.
More exploratory opportunities within the Aztec ecosystem may arise in the future. TechFlow will continue to follow developments—stay tuned!
