Pharos Network announces the official launch of the AtlanticOcean testnet: expanding global access to RWA assets
Since launching its first testnet in May, Pharos has recorded nearly 3 billion transactions across 23 million blocks, with a block time of 0.5 seconds.
Pharos Network, a programmable open finance Layer-1 blockchain, has launched its AtlanticOcean testnet, achieving milestone advancements in scale, memory, and speed for blockchain infrastructure, while expanding its ecosystem from regional pilots to a globally interconnected network.
Just as the Atlantic Ocean once connected continents through trade and exploration, Pharos’ AtlanticOcean testnet aims to become a bridge for global on-chain liquidity. It enables institutions, developers, and partners to cross-border test the movement of real-world assets (RWA), laying the foundation for global ecosystem expansion ahead of mainnet launch.
Since launching its first testnet in May, Pharos has recorded nearly 3 billion transactions across 23 million blocks with a 0.5-second block time;it has also deployed a global validator network, achieved full compatibility with Ethereum’s Dencun SPEC and reliable block replay, and implemented multiple optimizations including parallel execution, enhanced caching, and low-memory node deployment. Collaborations with partners such as Morpho Labs, Bitverse, and Euclid, along with integrations into OKX Wallet, Bitget Wallet, Hemera Explorer, and Goldsky, further validate the network's maturity for large-scale, real-world testing scenarios.
Building on this progress,AtlanticOcean introduces major upgrades: a mainnet-aligned, 1-billion token official PoS tokenomics model with streamlined staking and validator voting; a modular architecture decoupling consensus, execution, nodes, and storage layers; pipeline-based consensus enhancement; hybrid parallel execution leveraging DAG and Block-STM V1; cache-friendly storage via PharosDB; and expanded developer tooling to support more composable and complex testing scenarios.
Wish Wu, Co-Founder and CEO of Pharos Network, said: “Based on what we’ve built, we’ve validated Pharos’ foundation—exceptional performance, fair access, and scalable execution. AtlanticOcean takes this further. From now on, Pharos goes global. Before real-world assets come on-chain, we’re pushing the limits of scale, memory, and speed. We are focused on providing free-flowing digital rails for liquidity among global institutions, protocols, and individuals.”
Pharos plans to roll out testnet activations in phases. To ensure continuity and smooth transition, the initial testnet will coexist with AtlanticOcean over the coming months, allowing ecosystem partners to migrate gradually. During this period, top-performing community validators will be invited to join the AtlanticOcean and future mainnet validator sets. Subsequent phases will continue scaling the network and advancing mainnet preparations, targeting a mainnet launch in Q1 2026—marking a key milestone in Pharos’ journey toward globalizing on-chain real-world asset finance.
RWA partners, institutions, and developers are invited to explore, test, and contribute at https://testnet.pharosnetwork.xyz/atlantic.
