If you had to pick one game to dive into, would your heart skip a beat at the chance to play a space-themed MMORPG created by the founder behind World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Diablo III, and Hearthstone? This article shares the experience of the Snap Guild during the alpha3 testing phase, hoping to inspire shared excitement in the future.
Introduction to Space Nation
As a Web3 MMORPG, Space Nation features high-quality graphics and gameplay-centric design, integrating Web3 elements so that time and effort invested by players retain lasting value. Players take on roles as pilots or captains embarking on interstellar journeys, with multiple character configurations enabling diverse participation in future guild activities.

Game Map
Pressing M opens the world map. During testing, only the OIKOS system is available, but as development progresses, more maps will open up, offering richer resources and hidden rewards for exploration.
Currently available areas within OIKOS include Titan Port (base), Great Minefield (mining), and Haunted Zone (pirates).

Ships and Weapon Equipment
At this stage, over ten ships are available, categorized into combat ships, mining vessels, and exploration craft, each differing in characteristics, firepower, and handling.

Current Ship Selection
Combat Ships
-
T0: The Gray Fox is rarely used due to limited weapon capacity and has been replaced by T1 ships.
-
T1: The Enforcer offers balanced stats, can mount three weapons, and excels in speed, agility, and attack power—giving it an edge when competing for resources.
-
T2: The Humpback delivers stronger firepower than T1 but suffers from poor turning and low agility, making it disadvantaged in resource races.
-
T3: The Farsil is widely favored because it can equip four weapons. Despite being the heaviest and slowest, its turrets rotate independently of the hull, greatly improving maneuverability. It also boasts the longest attack range and supports exclusive high-damage weapons.

-
Mining Vessel: Currently only one option exists, equipped with a laser cutter that deals high damage to ore. Mined items drop in tiers: gravel (common), stone blocks (uncommon), and crystals (special). With luck, players may even obtain Lumicore.
-
Exploration Craft: Not yet available; will be introduced gradually in future updates.
Weapons
-
Quality: Weapons come in three tiers—white (normal), green (uncommon), and blue (special). Blue-tier weapons generally offer higher damage and lower weight compared to others.
-
Configuration: Weapon selection depends on personal preference and ship loadout limits. Options include defensive shields, instant high-damage lasers, missile launchers, mortars, railguns, and more. Power consumption must be considered—higher-damage weapons consume more energy, and exceeding the ship's power supply prevents installation.
Weapon Acquisition
Weapons can be obtained through main quests or looted from defeated pirates. At present, most special-tier weapons come from pirate encounters.
Gameplay
Main and Side Quests
Although the number of currently available main and side missions is limited, their content is rich. Most tasks involve eliminating pirates or mining, helping players become familiar with game mechanics. Rewards are generous, including medical robots and weapon gear. Completing the main questline grants five Lumicores worth a total of 50 ORB, usable in抽奖 (lottery draws).

Fighting Pirates
In the Haunted Zone, there’s a chance to gain rewards after defeating pirates. When close enough, "C Interact" appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Hold C to collect drops, which may include weapons, medical robots, or Lumicore. However, loot can be picked up by others—suggesting use of agile T1 ships or T3 ships with burst-damage capabilities for quick kills.
Mining
Mining requires switching to a vessel equipped with a cutter or using a high-burst T3 ship capable of dealing heavy damage to ore to trigger item drops. Possible drops include gravel (common), stone blocks (uncommon), and crystals (special).

PVP
Current PVP modes include 5v5, 10v10, and 20v20 battles, selectable via Ctrl at Titan Port. There are no drop rewards yet—only kill rankings. However, several issues remain needing optimization: 1) Players cannot switch ships mid-match; choosing poorly means helplessly waiting until the match ends; 2) Combat power imbalance—T3’s high burst damage leads to everyone using T3; 3) If teams aren't fully matched, players cannot exit or act—they must wait passively for others to join.
