$40 Million Airdrop, Binance USD1 Incentive “Refill,” Can Annualized Returns Exceed 20%?
The airdrop event will last four weeks, starting from January 23, 2026, and continuing until February 20.

On January 23, Binance announced the official launch of a dedicated airdrop campaign for holders of World Liberty Financial USD (USD1), distributing up to $40 million worth of World Liberty Financial (WLFI) tokens.
This event continues Binance's previous USD1 principal-protected wealth management offering. From December 24 last year to January 24 this year, Binance provided a 20% annualized USD1 reward for financial products with holdings up to 50,000 USD1. Following the announcement, the spot price of USD1 on Binance shifted from a negative premium against USDT to a positive 0.19% premium, currently trading at 1.0019 USDT.
Event Duration and Reward Distribution
The airdrop will span four weeks, starting from January 23, 2026, and ending on February 20. During this period, Binance will distribute $10 million worth of WLFI tokens each week.
The first batch of rewards is expected to be distributed on February 2, covering the holding statistics for the first week. Subsequent rewards will be issued weekly on Fridays throughout the event period, directly credited to eligible users' personal spot accounts.
Eligibility and Calculation Mechanism
According to the announcement, participants must meet specific account asset requirements.
Eligible Accounts: Users must hold USD1 net assets in their Binance spot, funding, margin, or U-margined futures accounts. Note that USD1 held in wealth management accounts is not included in this airdrop calculation.
Weighted Bonus: Users who use USD1 as collateral in margin or futures accounts will receive a 1.2x bonus on rewards. Confirmed by Binance customer service, users only need to complete asset transfers to qualify for the bonus—no mandatory trading (order placement) is required.

Calculation Standard: The system will take multiple snapshots per hour to monitor balances, using the lowest daily snapshot balance as the calculation basis.
Net Asset Definition: Only USD1 net assets are counted (positions minus any USD1 liabilities from borrowing or leverage), with a minimum balance requirement of more than 0.01 USD1 per single account.
Yield Simulation
As of now, the total supply of USD1 is approximately $3.2 billion. With a weekly distribution of $10 million worth of WLFI tokens, assuming all existing USD1 on Binance were fully committed to the event, the estimated annualized yield is calculated as follows:

Estimated Annualized Yield

Rewards for Spot and Funding Accounts (Holding 10,000 USD1)

Rewards for Margin and Futures Accounts (Holding 10,000 USD1, with 1.2x Bonus)

Rewards for 5x Leverage Account (Holding 10,000 USDT, leveraged purchase of USD1, with 1.2x Bonus)
Note: Hourly interest rate for Binance’s USD1/USDT margin product is approximately 0.0005%; borrowing costs over 4 weeks are estimated accordingly.

Comparison of Three Strategies
Note: Calculations do not factor in USD1 premium. Binance’s actual USD1 holdings are not publicly disclosed; figures here are estimates only.
