Top 15 Web3 Games Coming Soon to the Epic Games Store
Epic's level of exposure and player base far surpasses that of any current Web3 gaming platform, offering Web3 games—which are eager to reach mainstream audiences—a significant opportunity.

Since November, the price of ILV, the token of RPG blockchain game Illuvium, has doubled at one point, rising from $0.77 to a high of $1.58 on November 12 (currently around $1.44). During nearly two weeks of consecutive gains, Illuvium's official Twitter account announced on November 8 its plan to launch on the Epic Games Store on November 28, after which its token price continued to surge from around $1.17.
According to Epic’s 2022 annual report, the Epic Games Store currently has over 230 million PC users. Compared to industry leader Steam, which keeps Web3 games at arm’s length, the ambitious Epic Games appears far more open-minded. In March this year, Steve Allison, general manager of Epic Games, stated that its store would list nearly 20 crypto games by early 2024, although the company itself would not participate in developing or publishing any such games.

While welcoming Web3 games, Epic Games Store also imposes several requirements and restrictions on products using blockchain technology, including prohibiting links to any blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency marketplace; banning promotion of gambling activities; disallowing service provision to users in China and South Korea; and reserving the right to remove blockchain-based products from the store at any time based on market behavior (e.g., to address potential negative impacts on players).
The exposure and player base Epic can offer are unmatched by any current Web3 gaming platform, presenting a major opportunity for Web3 games eager to reach mainstream audiences. Besides Illuvium, other Web3 titles like the NFT card game Parallel also plan to or have already launched on the Epic Games Store. According to PANews, there are currently 77 games listed on the Epic Games Store, with 41 upcoming releases—already surpassing the initial “small goal” of over 20. Based on game popularity and community热度, PANews has selected and briefly introduced 15 Web3 games set to launch on the Epic Games Store.
