Hyperliquid Korea Hackathon concludes, a quick look at the 13 winning projects
A 48-hour developer hackathon attracted builders from around the world, with a total prize pool exceeding $50,000.

On September 21-22, 2025, alongside the Korea Blockchain Week (KBW) event in Seoul, Hyperliquid also hosted its first offline hackathon locally.
This 48-hour developer marathon attracted builders from around the globe, ultimately selecting 13 winning projects with a total prize pool exceeding $50,000.
As competition intensifies and user expectations rise, Hyperliquid needs a richer application layer to solidify its ecosystem position.
This hackathon signifies its transition from a pure trading platform toward a full-fledged ecosystem, where outstanding projects may emerge as future dark horses, harboring significant opportunities.

From AI trading assistants to cross-chain infrastructure, risk management tools to social trading platforms, let's take a quick look at the top contenders among these participating projects.
First Place: Hyperliquid Copilot
Project Positioning: An AI-powered professional trading assistant providing institutional-grade execution capabilities for Hyperliquid users.
The project was developed by the Wildmeta team, founded by Kevin Chen (@c_kevin75). Interestingly, on the day of the hackathon, Kevin was liquidated for $2 million on Hyperliquid, only to win first place that same evening with this project. In his acceptance speech, he mentioned wanting to "embed his trading lessons into the Wildmeta product."

Wildmeta is a broader Hyperliquid trading platform offering trader discovery, notification systems, chain abstraction, and HyperCore/HyperEVM account management. The Copilot feature showcased during the hackathon focuses on AI-driven trading insights, including real-time signal generation, automated order execution, and quantitative analysis.
The tool integrates seamlessly with HyperCore, leveraging on-chain data and market patterns for AI analysis to help traders improve efficiency. It particularly emphasizes risk management features, likely stemming from the founder’s personal trading experiences.
Current Status: The Wildmeta app is already live, supporting iOS and Android, compatible with the Hyperliquid desktop application without requiring additional wallet setup.

Performance Data: The platform reportedly has over 1 million PnL users.
Why It’s Worth Watching: This is a mature project with an existing user base; the founder’s firsthand trading experience provides authentic insight into real user needs.
Second Place: Edgescan
Project Positioning: @edgescan, a smart contract security scanner designed specifically for Hyperliquid and HyperEVM.
Edgescan is a cybersecurity company with over 10 years of operation, specializing in vulnerability scanning and penetration testing services. The company has handled more than 40,000 security assessments, demonstrating deep expertise in traditional web security.
The project offers continuous security monitoring for the Hyperliquid ecosystem, capable of detecting various vulnerabilities in smart contracts, including critical issues like SQL injection and exposed APIs. The system supports contract scanning on HyperEVM, identifying malicious assets and shadow IT risks.
Edgescan employs a "hybrid automation + human verification" approach, claiming 100% accuracy and effectively eliminating false positives. The system integrates EUVD (European Union Vulnerability Database) to meet compliance requirements and can scan over 768 actively exploited CVE vulnerabilities.
Current Status: The core platform is already mature and operational, with customized scanning functionality developed specifically for the Hyperliquid ecosystem during the hackathon.
Performance Data: The company has previously handled over 40,000 assessments, maintaining a strong track record in traditional security domains.
Why It’s Worth Watching: As the Hyperliquid ecosystem grows rapidly, demand for security solutions will surge. Edgescan’s experienced team and technical foundation position it well for success in this niche market.
Third Place: HODL Bot
Project Positioning: @hlbot_hl, a Telegram-based group trading bot focused on long-term holding and risk management strategies.
Little information is available about the team, but the product design indicates a deep understanding of community-driven trading and risk management.
The core idea behind HODL Bot is simplifying complex risk management strategies into easy operations within Telegram groups. Users can set up automated long-term holding strategies, with the system performing automatic rebalancing. More importantly, the bot supports delta-neutral hedging, helping users protect asset value amid market volatility.

The project directly integrates Hyperliquid API, supporting 100+ perpetual contracts with up to 50x leverage. All operations are conducted through the Telegram interface, with users retaining full control over their wallets—no asset custody required.
Current Status: Currently operating as a Telegram bot in early stages. The team plans to develop a native application.
Why It’s Worth Watching: Social trading is a key trend in DeFi development. HODL Bot’s innovations in group collaboration and risk management deserve attention.
Fourth Place: Hyper Homo
Project Positioning: A native social copy-trading platform for Hyperliquid.
The team adopted a meme culture and community-driven branding strategy, though specific background details are limited.
The platform allows users to follow top traders’ perpetual and spot positions in real time, with customizable position sizes and stop-loss settings. Users can vote within the community to select signals and strategies, forming a decentralized investment decision-making mechanism.
The project fully leverages Hyperliquid’s on-chain order book characteristics to enable transparent, low-slippage trade replication. Compared to other copy-trading platforms, users can view complete on-chain transaction records.
Current Status: Still in prototype stage, with no available product interface yet.
Why It’s Worth Watching: The copy-trading market is vast. If it gains first-mover advantage within the Hyperliquid ecosystem, it could see substantial growth.
Fifth Place: STIBS
Project Positioning: A yield smoothing tool for Hyperliquid, focusing on reducing drawdown risks in DeFi strategies.
Little team information is available. Public details indicate that STIBS reduces volatility in individual strategies by pooling and averaging returns across different user strategies. The system dynamically allocates between perps, spot, and HLP liquidity mining, automatically hedging when funding rates deviate abnormally.
The innovation lies in using a pooling mechanism to smooth yields, allowing users to earn relatively stable APY without enduring sharp fluctuations from single strategies.
Current Status: Still in early prototype phase, not yet deployed.

Sixth Place: HyperFlash
Project Positioning: A cross-chain arbitrage engine focused on sub-second execution and zero capital usage. GitHub link here.
The project was built entirely by a 19-year-old prodigy, which caused quite a stir at the hackathon. Despite his youth, his technical implementation earned high praise from judges.

HyperFlash solves the problem of low capital efficiency in traditional cross-chain arbitrage. Traditional approaches require pre-deposited funds on multiple chains, whereas HyperFlash uses innovative asynchronous bridging technology to execute arbitrage without locking capital.
The system completes cross-chain arbitrage in milliseconds, a qualitative improvement over the minutes-long execution times of traditional DEXs. More importantly, it requires no pre-funded TVL, greatly enhancing capital efficiency.
Current Status: Prototype demonstration completed, technical feasibility verified, but still some way from productization.
Why It’s Worth Watching: Cross-chain arbitrage is a major DeFi need. If the technology matures, the market potential is enormous. The young developer’s innovative thinking is also promising.
Seventh Place: Tetrics
Project Positioning: A portfolio analysis and risk scoring tool.
The team specializes in DeFi risk management and has partnerships with the Anoma ecosystem, indicating professional expertise in privacy protection and cross-chain technologies.

Tetrics provides Hyperliquid users with comprehensive portfolio analysis, including risk scores, asset allocation recommendations, and potential loss alerts. The system monitors portfolio risk in real time and offers optimization suggestions.
The project combines traditional finance risk models with the unique demands of DeFi, handling risk calculations across multiple asset types such as perpetuals, spot, and liquidity mining.
Current Status: Early development stage, basic framework exists but functionality is incomplete.
Why It’s Worth Watching: As DeFi users' asset sizes grow, demand for professional risk management tools will increase significantly.
Eighth Place: BASIS X
Project Positioning: @BasisFi, an on-chain delta-neutral basis trading pool.
The team has a quant trading background and deep understanding of basis trading strategies.
BASIS X earns relatively stable basis returns by simultaneously holding opposing positions in spot and perpetual contracts. Users deposit funds into the pool to enjoy stable returns from delta-neutral strategies.
The project implements fully on-chain basis trading strategies with high transparency, allowing users to monitor strategy performance in real time.

Current Status: Test version launched, current TVL at $3,790—one of the few projects already managing real funds.
Performance Data: While TVL is small, actual operations have begun, demonstrating full capability from concept to product.
Why It’s Worth Watching: Delta-neutral strategies are favored by institutional investors, with stable and predictable market demand.
Ninth Place: HyperSonia
Project Positioning: An AI trading coach offering personalized trading guidance.
Little team information is available, but the product functions suggest some understanding of AI technology and trading education.
HyperSonia combines semantic search and predictive alerts to provide users with personalized trading advice and market insights. The system analyzes users’ trading history and offers targeted improvement suggestions.
Current Status: Currently in prototype stage, with no standalone website or product interface.
Why It’s Worth Watching: Trading education is a massive market. AI-driven personalized coaching could transform traditional learning methods.
Tenth Place: AlgoGene
Project Positioning: A genetic algorithm-driven trading strategy generator.
Limited project details are available. Essentially, it uses genetic algorithms to automatically generate and optimize trading strategies, iteratively improving parameters through simulated evolution to discover optimal trading models.
In theory, applying biological evolutionary concepts to strategy optimization can uncover complex strategy combinations difficult to design manually.
Current Status: Early development stage, primarily completing the algorithmic framework design.
Other Special Award Projects
Spread, RedStone Special Prize
Project Positioning: An NBBO (National Best Bid and Offer) router that finds optimal trading prices for users.
Spread compares prices across multiple DEXs and automatically routes trades to the best price, reducing slippage and transaction costs.
Current Status: MVP version available, awarded the RedStone partner prize.
HyperPlug, First Place in deBridge Track
Project Positioning: A multi-chain wallet interaction component that simplifies cross-chain operations.
Provides developers with easily integrable cross-chain interaction modules, lowering the technical barrier for DApp development.
Current Status: Developer toolkit already available.
Hyper Metal (Prototype Stage)
Project Positioning: A DeFi risk detector that identifies potential vulnerabilities via on-chain simulation.
Simulates various attack scenarios in real environments to help protocols discover security flaws. Currently in proof-of-concept stage, focused on security tool development.
