Hi there, it's your old friend Jason. Exactly one year ago today, I joined Bitget—a six-year-old crypto brand—as the head of its Chinese-speaking region. Over the past year, I've had the privilege of leading an outstanding, innovative, and highly collaborative team to build the BG brand within this community, growing together with the industry and our users.
Last year, we officially launched a two-year strategic partnership with LaLiga (Spain’s top football league). Our registered user base surpassed 45 million—up 400% year-on-year—with over 30 million monthly visits and daily trading volume exceeding $20 billion. According to CCData, Bitget's market share grew from 8.6% at the beginning of 2024 to 11% by Q3, maintaining our solid position among the global top four exchanges.
In addition, we expanded our professional compliance team under the leadership of Chief Legal Officer Hon Ng, previously Binance’s General Counsel and Head of Government Affairs & Policy, who was named among the Financial Times’ Top 20 Legal Leaders globally. On the regulatory front, last year we obtained a Bitcoin Service Provider license from El Salvador’s Central Reserve Bank, secured licenses or completed registration in Australia, Italy, Poland, and Lithuania, and launched locally compliant crypto services in the UK. We are now actively pursuing licensing and compliance initiatives across more than 15 countries and regions.
Over the past year, we received 5,984 product experience feedback submissions from users. The average response time for online customer service has been reduced to just 40 seconds. We handled 692,823 live chat inquiries and resolved 1,824,581 support tickets. We listen carefully to every piece of feedback and thoughtfully implement suggestions into our platform. Our goal is to provide 24/7 concierge-level service, ensuring safety, trust, and warmth—making Bitget the most human-centric exchange.
#BGB delivered an outstanding performance, surging 1,400% in 2024 and successfully entering the billion-dollar market cap club. Rising from $0.6 at the start of the year to an all-time high of $8.5 by year-end, BGB significantly outperformed all other centralized exchange tokens. This was further amplified by 21 Launchpools throughout the year, delivering substantial returns to BGB holders, with annualized yields reaching 35% in token-denominated terms. In fact, this isn’t the first time BGB has stood out. Even during the relatively flat market of 2023, BGB surged over 3x, far outpacing all other CEX tokens. I believe BGB will shine even brighter in 2025, delivering greater value to holders worldwide.
A year ago today, I said, “Stay committed to walking alongside the community, staying in sync with our users.” That wasn’t just a personal promise—it’s a core value at Bitget. Clearly, I’ve kept my word, and so has Bitget. When faced with user concerns, we never deflect, evade, or delay. For example, before listing $Dogs, we spent nearly a million dollars of our own funds to buy back tokens and compensate users affected by project-related witch attacks. On October 7th, within 24 hours of the $BGB anomaly event, we released a full investigation report and completed millions of dollars in compensation. These actions reflect our responsibility and commitment to users.
Every Bitget employee places user interests first. We fully understand that our achievements today would not be possible without the continuous support and companionship of our community and users.
Today marks the second day of 2025—and my first anniversary plus one day at Bitget. Looking ahead to 2025, I plan to focus on the following key areas:
1. Enhance spot listing curation to amplify wealth creation effects. We’ll deepen spot liquidity, identify high-potential projects, and continue positioning Bitget as the premier launchpad for quality assets. In 2024, over 15 of our initial listings eventually made their way to Binance; in 2025, our goal is to do even more, and do it better.
2. Every single day, we must find ways to make BGB better! We’re expanding hardcore use cases for BGB. Beyond the upcoming feature enabling $BGB as gas across multiple mainnets, we’re integrating BGB into leading public chains and top DeFi ecosystems to unlock on-chain transaction scenarios. BGB will progressively become a staking asset across major lending and staking protocols. Offline, we’re enabling Bitget Premium Payment Cards and merchant acceptance of BGB payments. Our goal is clear: get more people to hold BGB and strengthen confidence in both Bitget and BGB. Here, I sincerely call on all users who have benefited from exchange tokens on other platforms—please make BGB your top DCA choice! Let’s set a small goal: push BGB into the Top 10 by market capitalization.
3. Strengthen compliance operations to promote healthy industry development. We remain committed to transparent and compliant operations, dedicated to providing users with a secure and reliable trading environment. In 2025, we will intensify efforts to obtain regulatory licenses globally, ensuring legal operations across diverse markets.
Through these initiatives, we aim to create a more stable market environment for users, protect user rights, and contribute to the long-term, healthy growth of the entire crypto industry.
