Over 1 million ecosystem players: A roundup of Immutable's 13 flagship games currently in focus
Among the hundreds of games in the Immutable ecosystem, the more than ten games currently tied to its "main quest" are clearly the focus of its current strategic布局.

At the beginning of this year, gaming blockchain Immutable launched the early access version of its Immutable zkEVM mainnet powered by Polygon, officially marking the start of rapid ecosystem growth. In the second quarter, with the release of "Guild of Guardians" and the launch of "Main Quest"—a Web3 gaming campaign offering over $50 million in rewards, touted as the largest in history—Immutable Passport, its integrated player identity solution, saw massive growth, surpassing one million registered users, doubling alone in May.
Immutable zkEVM aims to provide game developers with dedicated chains, combining the advantages of zk-rollup technology with the Ethereum ecosystem, offering EVM compatibility, low costs, scalable performance, and enterprise-grade security. Beyond infrastructure support, Immutable has also begun providing funding for game developers. In March this year, Immutable partnered with venture capital firm King River Capital and Polygon Labs to launch a $100 million Web3 gaming fund called the "Inevitable Games Fund" (IGF). Immutable and Polygon Labs will identify investment opportunities, while King River will manage the investment process and allocate capital to game studios and Web3 infrastructure companies.

Backed by strong technological infrastructure and financial support, Immutable zkEVM quickly attracted a large number of game developers. According to Immutable co-founder Robbie Ferguson, in the first five months of this year, Immutable signed agreements with well-funded games totaling 147 titles—surpassing the entire count for 2023. Over the next five months, more than 60 additional games are planned for release. Among these 200+ games, around a dozen linked to the "Main Quest" campaign are clearly the current strategic focus. What are these games? And what notable achievements have they made? This article from PANews provides an overview.
Illuvium
A multi-game world composed of several interconnected experiences, including the simulation game Zero, open-world adventure game Overworld, auto-chess strategy arena Arena, and NFT collection game Beyond. Each title offers distinct gameplay mechanics targeting different player segments, yet all are unified through shared resource extraction and utilization across games. The blockchain game Illuvium launched its Open Beta testnet at the end of May and is now available on the Epic Games Store with versions for both Windows and macOS. Illuvium has completed four funding rounds, raising a total of $65 million from investors including IOSG Ventures, Framework Ventures, Animoca Brands, Spartan Capital, and Polygon Ventures. Additionally, Illuvium raised approximately $72 million in 2022 through the sale of virtual land in Illuvium Zero.

It will eventually support user-generated content (UGC), enabling players to create and contribute their own assets. In May, Baby Shark Universe announced the completion of a seed round at a $34 million valuation, with participation from Animoca Brands, CREDIT SCEND, Sui Foundation, and Comma3 Ventures.

By collecting cards and building decks, players simulate battlefield strategies and engage in battles against others, aiming to reduce the opponent’s commander’s health to zero. Storm Warfare features an in-game marketplace where players can buy, sell, or trade NFT cards and items.
