Bitget announced it will invest $30 million in BitKeep, a Web3.0 multi-chain wallet, and acquire controlling equity.

At the Paris Blockchain Week on March 22, Bitget announced a $30 million investment in Web3.0 multi-chain wallet BitKeep, acquiring majority control. BitKeep was valued at $300 million in its previous funding round. This strategic investment aims to build a comprehensive Web3.0 ecosystem, bridging DeFi and CeFi by leveraging both parties’ strengths in their respective domains, while further enhancing the stability and security of BitKeep’s products.
Investing in a wallet marks a significant step for Bitget in expanding its business footprint—not only extending into the wallet sector but also enabling native storage and asset management services. By integrating BitKeep’s existing global user base of over 8 million, Bitget will gain access to a vast pool of potential new users. This move represents one of Bitget’s key initiatives in entering the Web3.0 space.

In May 2022, BitKeep raised $15 million at a $100 million valuation. The round was led by Dragonfly Capital, with participation from KuCoin Ventures, A&T Capital, Foresight Ventures, SevenX, Matrixport, Bixin Capital, Danhua Capital, Peak Capital, and YM Capital.
