MCDEX partners with Celer cBridge to bring more users to Ethereum Layer 2
MCDEX and Celer have deeply collaborated to integrate Celer's cBridge solution as a bridging option within the MCDEX application interface, leveraging their strong technical synergy to enhance the bridge-in and bridge-out user experience on MCDEX.

On September 13, MCDEX has partnered with Celer and integrated cBridge, enabling users to bridge assets from other Layer 1 chains and Ethereum Layer 2 networks into MCDEX deployed on the Arbitrum rollup with lower cost and latency.
Celer's cBridge also allows MCDEX users to bypass Arbitrum’s 7-day withdrawal period, improving DeFi liquidity and trading efficiency while accelerating adoption of MCDEX.
Users can now access cBridge directly via an integrated link within the MCDEX interface.
Additionally, cBridge will support fast cross-chain withdrawals of MCDEX’s governance token MCB from Arbitrum to Ethereum.
As a leading Layer 2 decentralized perpetual contracts solution, one of MCDEX’s primary goals is to lower user entry barriers.
Although the protocol has significantly reduced usage costs, transferring assets into or out of MCDEX on a Layer 2 rollup chain still incurs higher costs and delays. In practice, using Arbitrum’s native bridging solution requires over seven days to withdraw assets back to Ethereum and then to other chains. This delay, caused by prolonged liquidity lockups, may deter DeFi traders from using rollup-based applications.
Moreover, accessing a Layer 2 rollup from a non-Ethereum chain requires at least two hops: first from the external chain to Ethereum, then from Ethereum to MCDEX’s rollup.
The necessity of involving Ethereum in native bridging means users must pay hundreds of dollars in Ethereum gas fees to transfer assets between low-cost chains—prohibitive for all but the largest whales and preventing many users from accessing MCDEX’s advanced Layer 2 rollup.
What benefits does the MCDEX and Celer partnership bring to users?
Celer’s cBridge directly addresses the issues outlined above, offering a seamless experience for bridging to and from MCDEX.
Leveraging Celer’s core state channel technology, cBridge is a non-custodial and trustless cross-chain bridging solution.
With cBridge, users no longer need to route transfers through Ethereum when bridging assets from other chains, typically reducing bridging costs by up to 100x with near-zero latency. When withdrawing assets from the rollup chain to other networks, users not only avoid extra hops via Ethereum, but more importantly, withdrawal times are reduced from at least seven days to just minutes.
This deep collaboration integrates Celer’s cBridge directly as a bridging option within the MCDEX application interface, combining both teams’ technological strengths to dramatically improve the deposit and withdrawal experience for MCDEX users.
Furthermore, to support the development of MCDEX’s multi-chain governance ecosystem, Celer cBridge will add support for MCDEX’s native governance token MCB, allowing users to withdraw MCB from Arbitrum to Ethereum in minutes instead of seven days.
Beyond technical integration, MCDEX and Celer will also collaborate on marketing initiatives and community building. Both teams look forward to establishing a productive, long-term strategic partnership.
