Below are my thoughts on the @cookiedotfun DeFAI hackathon.
I only discovered late into the event that projects with tokens would be disqualified (even though many such projects were prominently featured on the Cookie DeFAI hackathon dashboard).
Nonetheless, this hackathon still attracted numerous high-quality teams building truly unique products.
Judging from the winners' list, all winning projects featured entirely original ideas.
Next, I'll share several of the most interesting projects—from those disqualified to the final winners.
Let’s begin.
1. AlphaSwarm by @TheoriqAI
AlphaSwarm is a Python-based toolkit designed for DeFAI autonomous trading agents.
It allows users to obtain real-time market and social signals from @cookiedotfun and execute trading strategies across multiple blockchains using natural language. (Click for details)

2. Edwin by @buildwithedwin
Edwin is a TypeScript-based infrastructure built to enable AI agents to interact with DeFi protocols. With Edwin, users can create DeFAI agents for liquidity provision (LP'ing), lending operations, and cross-chain interactions.
@aiymx_agent is the first agent built on Edwin's infrastructure providing real-time liquidity.

3. Homo Memetus by @homo_memetus
Homo Memetus is a DeFAI ecosystem that innovatively tokenizes trading strategies and simulates "natural selection," allowing these strategies to compete against each other (or against humans) to identify the most profitable ones.
The project's vision and roadmap are impressive, but it remains in a very early development stage. (Click for details)
4. Anti-Rug Agent by @AntiRugAgent
Anti-Rug Agent is a comprehensive security tool designed for Solana developers.
By leveraging @repoanalyzer, it analyzes liquidity, wallets, internal transactions, code repositories, and GitHub data to provide users with an AI-powered security score, making it one of the powerful tools for due diligence (DD). (Click for details)
5. BevorAI (formerly CertaiK)
@CertaiK_Agent is a tool built on Virtuals aiming to democratize smart contract audits. Using AI technology, it can complete audits within 30 seconds, significantly improving efficiency.
The team recently launched an AI agent security scoring feature and added LARP analysis (to identify potential security risks) as its latest capability. (Click for details)
Special Mentions (agent projects with tokens)
-
@jailbreakme_xyz: Focused on AI safety and jailbreak resistance testing, which is crucial for scaling and applying AI models.
-
Maya by @Flame__live: A unique DeFAI agent whose personality evolves based on market dynamics and trading strategies, showcasing the potential of AI personalization.

-
Kudo
@kudo_archi introduced an innovative covenant framework capable of enabling complex financial scenarios via Covenant NFTs (cNFTs), such as uncollateralized loans and employment agreements. This framework opens possibilities for advanced financial interactions between agents. (Click for details)
-
Egg AI
@egg_ai_agent is a copy-trading agent powered by AI, equipped with market research, analysis, and execution capabilities. It integrates a SocialFi layer and an AI-driven research and execution layer, offering two trading modes:
-
Tren Egg: Fully automated copy-trading mode.
-
Chad Egg: A customizable trading mode allowing user control.
-
Aevia
@aeviaprotocol is the first agent designed to help users preserve their digital legacy. Upon a user's passing, Aevia can programmatically transfer messages, crypto assets, and NFTs to loved ones. Additionally, the team developed an agent that periodically checks in with users to ensure their well-being.
Special Mention
@AgentXYZ_ai: A trading terminal combining social features with on-chain data insights. Its recently launched AI-driven scoring system provides users with buy/sell recommendations.
Conclusion
The Cookie DeFAI hackathon was a tremendous success, attracting many high-quality teams who built innovative DeFAI products using the @cookiedotfun DataSwarm API.
However, it's regrettable that token-based projects were disqualified—many of these already had mature products rather than just conceptual designs. Hopefully, the next Cookie DeFAI hackathon will welcome more diverse participants, including teams with tokens.
Nevertheless, the level of innovation showcased remains astonishing. DeFAI is breaking through traditional abstraction layers and autonomous trading agents, with increasing numbers of projects leveraging on-chain and social sentiment data to explore truly unique use cases.
We've only taken the first step.
The future of DeFAI is being created right now.
