Swarms, the new AI Agent darling, surged 7x in a week—what other ecosystem projects hold potential?
As the multi-agent collaboration ecosystem grows richer, the still-early Swarms ecosystem may yet hold alpha opportunities.
Author: Golem, Odaily Planet Daily
In the first week of 2025, the AI Agent sector continued its rapid ascent, with the market caps of two major ecosystems—ai16z and Virtual—surpassing $2 billion and $5 billion respectively, hitting record highs.
As AI innovation continues to emerge, just when many assumed the "faction battle" over AI Agent infrastructure had settled and all agents would need to pay homage to one of these two dominant ecosystems, a dark horse—Swarms—has broken through. Over the past week, Swarms' token surged over 768%, reaching a peak market cap of $440 million; Swarms also now boasts over 2,800 stars on GitHub.
Swarms is a multi-agent collaboration framework whose core lies in providing a foundational "framework" component along with functionalities such as long-term memory and task decomposition, enabling multiple AI agents to seamlessly collaborate within the same network to break down and handle complex tasks. Swarms is actively driving ecosystem development, and as the multi-agent collaboration ecosystem expands, the still-early-stage Swarms ecosystem may harbor significant alpha opportunities. This article by Odaily Planet Daily provides a brief introduction to key projects in the Swarms ecosystem and recent developments within Swarms itself.
Ecosystem Projects Overview
MCS
-
Market Cap: $25 million

MCS was created by Swarms founder Kye Gomez, who has already linked the official MCS Twitter account in his personal bio, effectively providing official endorsement. MCS is a production-grade multi-agent system built on Swarms for medical diagnosis and coding. Users can engage in free conversations with MCS to diagnose and analyze healthcare-related issues. According to data disclosed by Kye Gomez, MCS achieved over 6,000 daily active users in the past two days, and its API is即将 entering production use with one of the largest healthcare providers in the United States.

SPORES
-
Market Cap: $9.4 million
-
Holders: 5,347
-
Token Contract:

Spores is the token issued by Autonomous Spores, which has transferred 10% of its tokens to the Swarms DAO. Autonomous Spores plans to develop four AI agents based on the Swarms framework:
-
The first agent is Saya, an AI agent fund manager built on Swarms Intelligence that will manage a series of AI agent hedge funds. Trained on vast volumes of trading data, Saya's decision-making capabilities are already refined, with its first fund set to launch soon;
-
The second agent is Oozeborn, inspired by Clanker on Base. By commenting or tagging #Oozeborn in posts, it simplifies the process for users to launch tokens and create AI agents directly on X (Twitter);
-
The third agent is Grassian, a data analysis AI agent built using Swarms algorithms focused on identifying early alpha creators on X, scoring them, and providing insights into ecosystem trends. Grassian also serves as a key information source for Saya’s trading decisions;
-
The fourth agent is Jaguarundi, a risk assessment AI agent that evaluates risks within the trading system to safeguard Saya and will operate an insurance fund designed to mitigate overall trading losses.
Autonomous Spores leverages the collaborative intelligence of these four AI agents. The project plans to share a portion of management fees generated by Saya and transaction taxes from Oozeborn with the community. However, Grassian and Jaguarundi have not yet launched.

CREATE
-
Market Cap: $8.8 million
-
Holders: 4,528
-
Token Contract:
92crE7qiX5T7VtiXhCeagfo1E81UtyguiXM7qCi7pump
CREATE describes itself as the ultimate creative engine—an AI platform built on Swarms that generates images or audio from text prompts.

IFSCI
-
Market Cap: $3.5 million
-
Holders: 1,177
-
Token Contract:
RqGHXg2eh3zPjyzNM7kUyrrSmhb9M9q4mCKFH1mpump
IFSCI claims to be the first vertical AI x DeSci Agent project built on Swarms, aiming to help users personalize their fasting and meal plans. Users can participate in the AI system as food data contributors, health metric providers, or researchers. As data contributors, users simply post meal photos and descriptions on X and tag @adesciagent, earning rewards based on their contributions.
According to the official roadmap, IFSCI plans to launch a fully functional application in Q3 2025 and expand scientific research globally.

Swarms Ecosystem Development Progress
The current flourishing landscape of AI Agent framework projects resembles the early boom period of Ethereum Layer 2s. While technologies and models differ, for users the most intuitive way to judge superiority is by ecosystem vitality. As a multi-agent collaboration framework, Swarms arguably needs a thriving agent ecosystem even more to validate its own value. Compared to ecosystems like ai16z and Virtuals, Swarms started later but is now aggressively building its ecosystem.
Today, the official Swarms account posted on X calling for ecosystem project partnerships, offering support in technology, marketing, and agent infrastructure, while allocating 10 million Swarms tokens (worth $3.38 million) as an ecosystem fund. Swarms founder Kye Gomez stated he will “personally meet with and support all our partner projects, providing technical assistance, marketing guidance, and more.”
Kye Gomez also announced today that the Swarms Marketplace will soon roll out new features, including:
-
Auto-generate and upload: Seamlessly create agents, tools, and swarms, then directly upload them to the marketplace;
-
Paywall integration: Monetize your agents by listing them at a price, allowing others to purchase developers’ creations;
-
Swarms token integration: Buy and sell agents using Swarms tokens via Phantom, streamlining transactions;
-
Swarms Auto-Cloud: Launch a Swarm API in the cloud with just one prompt;
-
Agent quality rewards: Earn Swarms tokens for publishing high-quality agents, evaluated using advanced frameworks;
-
Real-time chat and API: Enable real-time interaction and API functionality for every agent, group, tool, and prompt;
-
Usage tracking: Monitor real-time agent usage with detailed analytics tools.
While debates about Swarms’ originality persist externally, consistent ecosystem building remains the best response. In its early days, ai16z was also accused of being a token-selling scheme, yet its current market cap demonstrates it has earned market validation. “Either keep soaring, or fade into obscurity”—whether Swarms can eventually rival ai16z in ecosystem strength remains to be seen.
