A Beginner's Guide to Mastering the Movement DeFi Ecosystem (1) | Beginner Edition
The Movement ecosystem is now welcoming a batch of DeFi newcomers, and our goal is to help these new users understand the basics of DeFi.

As the Movement ecosystem continues to grow, over 55 applications have successfully launched. As one of the most critical infrastructures in a public chain ecosystem, DeFi has played a vital role in driving this growth. Recently, our team member Torab @torabyou shared a guide on using DeFi projects within the Movement ecosystem on X. If you're new to DeFi, this article will help you get started easily—enjoy!

I (Torab) consider myself a DeFi user. Although I missed the early hype around YAMs and YFI, I quickly followed up by farming newly launched projects like $FXS via http://vfat.tools.
Now, as a wave of new DeFi users enters the Movement ecosystem, our goal is to help them understand the fundamentals of DeFi.
This article is tailored for beginners. Over the next few weeks, we'll release advanced guides to help more experienced DeFi users dive deeper into the Movement ecosystem. Today, we’ll focus on the following projects: @ThunderheadLabs, @fraxfinance, @LayerZero_Core, @satayfinance, @SolvProtocol, @MovePosition, and @EchelonMarket.
🟡 Strategy One
Bridge $MOVE to Movement using the Movement Bridge powered by LayerZero. Stake on Thunderhead to receive stMOVE and earn yield.
@ThunderheadLabs is one of our liquid staking protocols. When you stake $MOVE, you’re not only helping secure the network but also earning rewards—a win-win. We’ll cover more use cases for stMOVE in upcoming posts!
🟡 Strategy Two
Bridge FRAX to Movement and deposit into Satay to earn yield.
@satayfinance is a yield aggregator. What does that mean? Instead of manually searching for the best returns, Satay automates the process for you. Deposit your funds, and they’ll optimize your yield.
@fraxfinance is a censorship-resistant decentralized stablecoin launched by @samkazemian. If you're unfamiliar with FRAX, we recommend following their Twitter and reading their documentation.

🟡 Strategy Three
Use the Movement Bridge to transfer solvBTC to Movement, then deposit into Echelon to earn yield.
@EchelonMarket is a composable money market lending protocol. In simple terms, you deposit an asset, and if someone borrows it, they pay you interest. There’s more functionality—we’ll explain it in easy-to-understand ways.
@SolvProtocol is a liquid Bitcoin staking protocol that allows users to earn yield while using BTC on-chain.
🟡 Strategy Four
Bridge USDC to Movement and deposit it into MovePosition to earn yield.
@MovePosition is a money market lending protocol backed by an institutional-grade risk engine. Like all lending protocols, you deposit an asset, and if someone borrows it, they pay you interest.
The projects mentioned above are part of the first wave launching on the Movement mainnet. If you're an experienced DeFi user, this content might feel basic. Stay tuned—our next piece will cover advanced strategies!
