The Tanssi Foundation has announced the expansion of its Tanssi blockchain infrastructure protocol to Ethereum, enabling rapid deployment—within minutes—of decentralized networks, also known as Active Validation Services (AVS). This expansion is driven by a strategic partnership with Symbiotic, a leading permissionless restaking protocol, empowering developers to deploy highly customizable decentralized networks that leverage Ethereum’s robust security.
While rollup technology has played a crucial role in scaling Ethereum, it may fall short when strong decentralization, customization, or interoperability are required. Decentralized networks (i.e., AVS) overcome these limitations by offering more flexible and diverse solutions. Developers can access shared Ethereum security directly through restaking, backed by over $45 billion worth of staked ETH. However, networks utilizing restaked security remain an emerging and complex technology, often requiring months to launch due to infrastructure demands, ongoing management, and resource requirements.
Tanssi dramatically simplifies this process, reducing launch time from months to minutes while optimizing management, making it easier for builders to deploy and maintain decentralized networks within customizable environments. This approach not only streamlines development but accelerates time-to-market, allowing projects to reach users faster.
By leveraging Symbiotic’s restaking protocol, Tanssi enables networks on Ethereum to easily access billions of dollars in shared staked ETH security. This method enhances decentralization by providing a permissionless shared operator network, ensuring fast transaction finality and eliminating reliance on a single sequencer.

Active Validation Services (AVS) built on Tanssi are blockchain systems leveraging Ethereum’s shared security, enabling developers to create highly customized protocols. These include application-specific blockchains, alternative virtual machines, bridges, data availability layers, and more—providing tools to solve use cases that traditional rollup architectures cannot effectively address.
