The update comes a week after Hamster Kombat surpassed 300 million players and announced what it called the “largest crypto airdrop in history.”

Hamster Kombat, the Telegram-based mobile clicker game, has released more details about its highly anticipated cryptocurrency airdrop.
The popular play-to-earn game has revealed further information on how players can earn a larger airdrop. The mini-app has finally added new details to the airdrop section within its Telegram mini-app.

According to the updated airdrop section released by Hamster Kombat on August 8, all in-game activities will now contribute toward accumulating more airdrop points. The updated section includes six different token accumulation categories: passive income, completion of earn tasks, achievements, Telegram subscriptions and keys, and friend referrals.

Players will receive token rewards based on various in-game point allocation metrics.
However, a Hamster Kombat spokesperson told Cointelegraph that eligibility for the airdrop also depends on gameplay cycles, community engagement, overall social activity, and the quality of invited players:
“The more players in the game, the higher the market cap, and thus the bigger the payout for everyone. The upcoming HMSTR airdrop will be the largest in crypto history. And we have no venture capitalists. The only way to get tokens is to play the game.”
This highly anticipated update was released one week after Hamster Kombat reached 300 million players, with a preview of an upcoming “largest airdrop in cryptocurrency history.”
Hamster Kombat aims to attract the next billion Web3 users
Hamster Kombat’s ultimate goal is to bring the next billion mainstream users into Web3.
When asked about the game's ultimate objective, the Hamster Kombat spokesperson told Cointelegraph:
“We want to build the biggest, tightest community and bring the next billion people into Web3, so we must show everyone how Web3 actually works. The easiest way is through gaming.”
The spokesperson added that Hamster Kombat’s seamless convenience introduces users to underlying blockchain technology and cryptocurrency without additional friction points, making it an excellent tool for attracting new Web3 users.
Others also believe in Telegram’s potential for mainstream adoption. For instance, Justin Hyun, investment director at the TON Foundation, said Telegram could be the “Trojan horse” for mass blockchain adoption.

Can Hamster Kombat deliver the largest crypto airdrop in history?
While it is known that 60% of the HMSTR token airdrop will be allocated specifically to players, there are no further details available on tokenomics.
However, organizing the largest crypto airdrop in history could be challenging, as it would need to surpass Uniswap’s airdrop, which totaled over $6.43 billion—according to CoinGecko, the most valuable crypto airdrop to date.

Beyond the airdrop, Hamster Kombat has already set the record for the fastest product to reach 100 million users, achieving this milestone in just two months—and is on track to enter the Guinness World Records.
