TechFlow: A Closer Look at Binance Launchpool's New Project Fusionist – Can It Revive the Gaming Sector?
With support from both OKX and Binance, how far can ACE go?
Author: Loopy Lu
Binance has announced the launch of its 40th new coin mining project, Fusionist. ACE is the native token of Endurance, a decentralized gaming/social blockchain that will host Fusionist—a Web3 AAA game. Users can stake BNB or FDUSD into the ACE mining pool on the Launchpad website starting December 13, 2023, at 08:00 (UTC+8) to earn ACE rewards. The ACE mining campaign will last for five days in total. The website is expected to be updated approximately five hours before the mining event begins.
Binance plans to list Fusionist (ACE) on December 18, 2023, at 14:00 (UTC+8), and open trading pairs including ACE/BTC, ACE/USDT, ACE/BNB, ACE/FDUSD, and ACE/TRY, under Seed Tag listing rules.
Interestingly, this project has received dual support from both Binance and OKX. ACE not only launched on Binance Launchpool but also previously participated in OKX Jumpstart earlier this week.
How will this project perform on Binance’s mining platform, and what are its prospects? Could it spark a revival in the GameFi sector? Odaily Planet Daily brings you an in-depth analysis of this ACE mining event.

Project Overview
This project is more than just a blockchain game—it combines gaming with a social infrastructure layer and features its own network called Endurance.
Endurance is the network on which the Fusionist game is deployed. The network has been live since January 2023. This infrastructure layer offers users various gaming and social functionalities (such as expeditions, auction houses, ACEdomains, beta testing, etc.), allowing all participants to comfortably find their preferred ways to play, socialize, and earn. Since Endurance's launch in January 2023, it has accumulated over 1.86 million token-holding wallets and processed more than 100 million transactions.
Fusionist positions itself as a Web3 AAA-grade game. Utilizing Unity and HDRP technologies, it delivers high-quality products and immersive gameplay experiences to all users. Unlike previous blockchain games often criticized for neglecting core gaming aspects, Fusionist has already drawn attention in the gaming market—so much so that even Unity officially praised its technical achievements.

Mechs, Sci-Fi, and Simulation Management: How Do Classic Elements Merge with Crypto?
Fusionist is a game integrating simulation management, turn-based combat, and SLG mechanics, officially unveiled last November. Its official Discord community has grown to 940,000 members, while its Twitter following reaches 840,000.
Set in the year 2800, Fusionist's storyline depicts a world where Earth has become uninhabitable due to human greed and environmental degradation, sparking widespread warfare.
Drawing on classic themes like mechs and interstellar exploration, Fusionist crafts a vast, macro-scale universe. Players take on the role of mech commanders managing their own planets, gathering rare resources, upgrading technology, and building advanced mechs. The game is scheduled to officially launch on Steam by the end of 2023.
Among experienced gamers, crypto integration in games has historically been poorly executed. Many early GameFi projects have faced criticism or ridicule within gaming communities. However, Fusionist demonstrates how blockchain games can rival traditional titles through AAA-level gameplay and exceptional technical execution.
In Fusionist, players explore a universe full of unknowns and surprises. A wide variety of missions and challenges await completion, along with numerous collectibles and rare rewards. Thanks to its blockchain foundation, Fusionist also features a complete economic system enabling in-game trading and investment.
Unlike many other Web3 games, Fusionist emphasizes player experience and sustainability. Past failures of early blockchain games have shown that only by delivering high-quality content and excellent design can developers attract players and build sustainable ecosystems—key factors for longer product lifespans and long-term success.
Technological Excellence Praised by Unity: Can Blockchain Games Match Traditional AAA Titles?
While GameFi continues expanding, the persistent issue remains: most blockchain games simply aren't fun. For developers, this may stem from inherent limitations within the crypto industry. Strong financialization but weak use cases has long characterized our emerging sector, and a lack of Web2 development expertise has left GameFi projects technically unprepared to create truly compelling games.
Fusionist stands apart. The team currently consists of 47 full-time members—all seasoned professionals from the gaming industry—providing deep technical expertise. Built on the mature Unity engine, Fusionist leverages cutting-edge technologies such as DOTS and six-sided light mapping to deliver realistic water surfaces, clouds, explosions, and stunning visual effects.
Gamers are likely familiar with HDR. Fusionist takes it further by adopting HDRP (High Definition Render Pipeline) technology to create a physically accurate game world.
HDRP, or High Definition Render Pipeline, differs from traditional HDR by using a physics-based rendering framework that generates highly realistic visuals based on in-game object materials, textures, reflections, and other data.
Fusionist employs multiple HDRP technologies, including Layered Lit Material, PBR (Physically Based Rendering), SSR (Screen Space Reflection), SSAO (Screen Space Ambient Occlusion), volumetric fog, post-processing, and HDR.

Building on this foundation, Fusionist integrates additional technologies such as Path Tracing, ScreenSpaceReflection, and Layered Lit Material. These enhance key in-game elements—especially mechs—with more realistic lighting, material properties, and rendering. Physics-based rendering enables richer visual details; for example, PBR mask maps define surface physical attributes, accurately reflecting wear and tear on mechs.
For environmental effects, the KWS Water System provides physically accurate water simulations. Caustic effects enable realistic underwater visuals, simulating light refraction and reflection in water.

More realistic lighting and environmental effects
Moreover, Fusionist demonstrates strong scalability. As a globally synchronized space MMO-SLG, its servers must dynamically manage hundreds of thousands of entities in real time during peak loads. Netcode for Entities ensures seamless synchronization between frontend and backend systems.
Internal performance tests show that a single AWS c6a.xlarge server can support nearly 100 systems and simulate universes with hundreds of thousands of entities, maintaining server logic tick rates above 10 FPS.
In a technical spotlight article published by Unity, they stated: "Fusionist is an excellent example demonstrating the practical application of Unity engine’s latest features. With its impressive visuals and gameplay, Fusionist reveals the infinite possibilities of Unity in AAA game development."
The Endurance Chain Powers Fusionist at the Foundation Level
A top-tier blockchain gaming product naturally requires robust underlying infrastructure. The team excels not only in game development but also in creating a powerful blockchain backbone—the Endurance chain.
Endurance aims to provide developers with a fast, efficient, and scalable blockchain infrastructure for building decentralized applications, including games and social platforms.
Endurance uses a technique called "state compression," which compresses blockchain data into smaller storage spaces. This allows Endurance to reduce storage requirements without compromising security or reliability, while achieving higher throughput and lower latency.
Additionally, its low-cost storage and superior network performance lay the groundwork for handling high-concurrency data processing, making it easier to execute large volumes of transactions on gaming and social platforms.
Endurance offers developers comprehensive development tools, including SDKs, APIs, and documentation.
