OKX Executive Attends "Hong Kong Fintech Week 2023" and Shares Insights
OKX Global Chief Business Officer Lennix Lai shared insights on strengthening Hong Kong's strategic position in the global fintech landscape, with a particular focus on digital infrastructure and building fintech talent.

During the main forum held from November 2 to 3 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, OKX executives participated in various panel discussions and fireside chats. On November 2 at the "Hong Kong Stage," Lennix Lai, OKX's Global Chief Business Officer, shared insights on strengthening Hong Kong’s strategic position in the global fintech landscape, focusing particularly on digital infrastructure and building fintech professional talent.

On November 3, Lennix joined Clara Chiu, former CEO of Neufund Advisory, to discuss how Hong Kong can become a globally leading hub for regulated virtual asset businesses. He then participated in a panel discussion titled “From the Leaders: Deconstructing Web3’s Potential with Top Innovators,” exchanging views with Bloomberg Television journalist Annabelle Droulers and other key Web3 industry leaders, including Sandy Peng, Co-Founder of Scroll; Pascal Gauthier, Chairman and CEO of Ledger; Evan Auyang, President of Animoca Group; and Homer Sun, Managing Partner of Animoca Capital.
Additionally, on November 3, Jeff Ren, Partner at OKX Ventures, took part in a panel discussion on the “AI, Web3 & New Frontiers Stage,” alongside Fabian Astic, Managing Director and Global Head of Decentralized Finance and Virtual Assets at Moody’s Investors Service; Janine Grainger, CEO of Easy Crypto; and Tom Mitchelhill, journalist at CoinTelegraph. They discussed the future of decentralized finance (DeFi) and centralized finance (CeFi), delving into the innovation landscape of DeFi, the opportunities and challenges it presents, and its impact on the financial industry and beyond.
