TechFlow reports, July 15: According to The Wall Street Journal, The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) launched live testing of tokenized securities on July 15, with nearly 40 financial institutions and technology companies participating, including JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, Vanguard, and the New York Stock Exchange. The assets tested for tokenization include Microsoft (MSFT) stock, Circle Internet Group (CRCL) stock, Invesco QQQ Trust, State Street SPDR S&P 500 ETF, iShares 0-3 Month Treasury Bond ETF, and U.S. Treasury bonds of different maturities.
DTCC stated that the relevant tokens will be stored on the blockchain and can be used for trading, a move seen as a step towards advancing traditional financial infrastructure into a digital securities settlement system.
