Attendees at EDCON 2023 in Montenegro this week can use Permissionless Perks
The EDCON 2023 organizing team, in collaboration with Smart Token Labs, launched Permissionless Perks, an open loyalty solution that enables ticket holders to verify ticket ownership to third parties without requiring involvement from the ticket issuer or event organizer.

Attendees of EDCON 2023, taking place in Montenegro from May 19 to 23, will be able to independently verify their ticket ownership and claim exclusive perks available only to them.
Participants will receive their proof of ticket via email from EDCON in the form of a URL.
Victor Zhang, CEO of Smart Token Labs, said the URL will direct attendees to the Permissionless Perks page where they can claim unique benefits.
“The URL serves as proof of ticket ownership, with the verification token stored in the browser’s local storage for seamless integration with EDCON perk provider websites. This is a permissionless, open loyalty solution where verification happens directly between the ticket holder and the perk provider, without any need for the event organizer’s involvement.”
