EDCON 2025 will be grandly held from September 16 to 19, 2025, at Congres Square Grand Green Osaka in Osaka, Japan. This marks the second time EDCON has taken place in Japan, following EDCONTokyo in 2024.
This year, linktime and UETH are honored to co-organize the event together with the Osaka Prefecture and the Osaka Innovation Hub (OIH). By strengthening collaboration with local Web3 communities and relevant organizations in Japan while leveraging EDCON’s global resources, EDCON 2025 aims to deliver an Ethereum event unlike typical conferences—more interactive, impactful, and dedicated to fostering East-West exchanges across the Asia-Pacific region. Additionally, coinciding with the 2025 World Expo in Osaka, which expects up to 30,000 international visitors daily, this event presents an exceptional opportunity to showcase the latest Web3 technologies and community initiatives to the world.
EDCON 2025 will offer attendees an unparalleled experience, providing opportunities to connect with leading blockchain projects and dive deep into critical topics such as Cross-L2 interoperability, user experience improvements, peerDAS, DeFi revival, d/acc, cryptography, and the intersection of artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency.
Super Demo x WaveHack
EDCON's traditional Super Demo program is undergoing a transformation. To identify more high-potential Web3 startups and provide them with prize funding and visibility, Super Demo will partner this year with WaveHack—a flagship event under Akindo, a renowned Japanese developer community. Projects recognized during the 14-day WaveHack event will have the chance to demo at Super Demo and even advance to the finals for a shot at significant prize money.
PopX - Osaka: Paving the Path to your Web3 Career
Serving as a prelude to EDCON, Pop-X Osaka is a series of Web3-themed events co-hosted by UETH alongside Japanese and global Web3 communities. The event aims to engage diverse audiences through insightful talks, hands-on workshops, and engaging panel discussions.
This pop-up event will highlight the transformative potential of blockchain technology, introduce practical skills essential for success in the Web3 industry, and allow participants to experience the vibrant, collaborative culture of the Web3 community.
