Mainstream media spotlight: TRON announces winners of Hackathon Season 4
The TRON team and community representatives jointly announced the highly anticipated results of the fourth season of the TRON Hackathon.
Recently, the TRON team and community representatives jointly announced the results of the highly anticipated fourth season of the TRON Hackathon. A total of 625 participants submitted 172 projects across six tracks: DeFi, Web3, NFT, GameFi, as well as two newly introduced categories—Builder and Eco-Friendly. Top-ranking projects will share a prize pool worth up to 500,000 USDD, and those selected by the judges will qualify for investment consideration from TRON DAO Ventures and Huobi Ventures.
The release of the winners list quickly attracted attention from major international media outlets, including Bloomberg, Yahoo Finance, Benzinga, MarketWatch, Decrypt, and The Block, among others. Reports highlighted that this season's hackathon was filled with exceptional talent and continuous innovation, vividly reflecting the thriving development of the TRON community.


By hosting the hackathon, TRON has provided developers with an effective innovation platform, encouraging continuous exploration and experimentation with new technologies. It also offers investors and tech enthusiasts opportunities to learn about, engage with, and invest in outstanding blockchain projects. The TRON DAO team and community representatives from the TRON blockchain jointly revealed the results of the much-anticipated fourth season of the TRON Hackathon. Leading projects will share a prize pool of up to 500,000 USDD, a decentralized, over-collateralized stablecoin issued by TRON currently circulating across multiple blockchains. Projects advanced by the judging panel will be eligible to apply for funding from TRON DAO Ventures and Huobi Ventures.
This season attracted 625 participants who submitted 172 projects spanning six tracks: DeFi, Web3, NFT, GameFi, and the newly launched Builder and Eco-Friendly categories.
"This season’s hackathon brought together exceptional talent with constant innovation, clearly showcasing the vibrant growth of the TRON community," said Ejaz Merchant, Development Lead at TRON DAO. "We thank all participants for their outstanding submissions and all partners and community members for their strong support, which collectively contributed to the success of this season. Projects Selected by Judges
For each track, the first-place project receives 20,000 USDD, second place earns 15,000 USDD, third place wins 10,000 USDD, while fourth and fifth places receive 8,000 USDD and 6,000 USDD respectively.
The newly introduced Builder track rewards teams that previously participated in past hackathons and returned this season with significant upgrades to their projects. The winning project in this category is "Farming-as-a-Service" by Elk Finance. With this upgrade, Elk Finance aims to “enable everyone to access advanced DeFi yield farming contracts.”

Projects in the Eco-Friendly track responded to the call of the TRON Climate Initiative, focusing on sustainability and environmental protection. The first-place winner in this category is Ecomarket. As an open marketplace sourcing waste and recycled plastic, Ecomarket was founded to encourage plastic recycling, safely store discarded plastics, and provide businesses with transparent and reliable sources of recycled plastic.

The DeFi track’s first-place project is Ergon. This project enhances the usability of TRON’s Staking 2.0, enabling users to enjoy lower transaction fees by renting energy and earn rewards by staking TRX.

Sorrel Banq (Team: Paracosm Labs)

In the NFT track, the top honor went to BobbyBot.Trade, a decentralized application allowing users and players to trade virtual assets (NFTs) from Steam games such as Team Fortress and Counter-Strike using TRON-based TRX, USDT, and USDD.

TRONJoy’s Duelers took first place in the GameFi track. Players can choose between "Duel" or "Tournament" modes to interact with or compete against the TRON community!

Cukies: Rush & Run (Team: Cukies World)
METASENS (Team: METASENS)
TrustSight by The TRONacles won first place in the Web3 track. Essentially a crowdsourced reputation platform for on-chain users, it aims to enhance decentralized trust levels within the TRON blockchain through user reviews, allowing TRON users to navigate the ecosystem more securely and confidently.

The top five advancing projects from each track have been selected by the judges and received 30% of their prize amount on May 15, 2023. To claim the remaining portion, teams must deploy a fully functional decentralized application on either the TRON or BitTorrent mainnet by June 1, 2023.

Additionally, three special awards were introduced this season: Most Active Project, Most Determined Project, and Community Contributor Award. Winners of the Most Active and Most Determined Project awards will be announced on June 1, 2023. Recipients of the Community Contributor Award—Akainuu, antonio, fabsltsa, Gordian, HODL, manfred_jr, Nana66419, nweke-nature1, Prince-Onscolo, and Youngyuppie—will each receive 500 USDD.
