After Ethereum entered the 2.0 era, its ecosystem has entered a new phase and is set for a major upgrade this spring. Recent network upgrades have been named after cities that previously hosted Ethereum developer conferences (Devcon), with Devcon 2016 having taken place in Shanghai.
On the occasion of the Ethereum "Shanghai" upgrade, we aim to organize a series of events to help more people understand Ethereum's origins and development, the vision laid out in the Ethereum whitepaper, reflect on Ethereum’s journey in China, celebrate the contributions of Chinese builders, and learn about cutting-edge trends in Web3.0.
We believe narrative is an important public good. Through multi-community collaboration, we hope to spread awareness of Ethereum and the story of Shanghai. By reflecting on the past and looking toward the future, let us all become part of this story—and you are warmly welcome to join us.

This is a collaborative series of events jointly organized by members from communities including Social Layer, Plancker, Mask Network, ECN, togETHer, DRK Lab, and M7e. We have come together under the name "Shanghai Upgrade FlashDAO" to celebrate the upcoming Ethereum Shanghai Upgrade this spring.
