Dubai Web3 Week Highlights: DID Alliance Joins Hands with Asia-Pacific Innovation Center to Build a New Global Hub for Capital and Business
This event brings together representatives from global investment institutions, industry veterans, and key opinion leaders (KOLs), aiming to establish an efficient and private dialogue platform to jointly explore the development trends and collaboration opportunities in the digital economy.
As Dubai Binance Blockchain Week (BBW) draws global attention from the Web3 industry, a series of in-depth industry exchange events have also taken place. On December 4, the "KOL GOLF After Party," co-hosted by Klickl, Techub News, and 1783DAO, with support from BroadChain, WIS (World in Shadow), JDI, and the DID Alliance, was held in Dubai.
The event brought together representatives from global investment institutions, seasoned industry professionals, and key opinion leaders (KOLs), aiming to create an efficient and private dialogue platform to discuss trends in digital economy development and explore collaboration opportunities.

Focusing on In-Depth Industry Dialogue: Shaping the Future of Digital Trust
As one of the side events during Binance's Dubai BBW, this gathering used premium indoor golf as a social medium, primarily offering industry leaders a space away from the noise of exhibitions—a venue dedicated to meaningful intellectual exchange.
In a relaxed atmosphere, participants discussed core issues currently facing the Web3 industry, including the application of decentralized identity (DID) in compliant finance, pathways for tokenizing RWA assets, and the evolution of infrastructure. This deep engagement format narrowed the distance between industry builders and facilitated several strategic cooperation intentions.

Strategic Roadshow: DID Alliance Building Web3 Digital Sovereignty Infrastructure
As one of the core organizers, Eugene Xiao, Chairman of the DID Alliance, delivered a keynote speech titled "Connecting the Globe: From Digital Sovereignty to Business Empowerment," presenting the alliance’s vision and ecosystem strategy to global elites in attendance.
Eugene first outlined the core mission of the DID Alliance. He noted that as the Web3 industry penetrates the mainstream world, traditional centralized identity systems can no longer meet growing demands for privacy protection, data sovereignty, and cross-chain interoperability.
"DID (Decentralized Digital Identity) is not just a technical standard—it is the foundation of trust for the future digital economy," said Eugene. The DID Alliance is committed to building a decentralized, cross-sovereign, and compliant digital identity infrastructure. By returning ownership of identity to users, DID technology effectively addresses trust challenges in digital economic development, providing secure and trustworthy foundational support for applications such as DeFi, SocialFi, and RWA.
Empowering Global Business: Strategic Positioning of the Asia Pacific Innovation Center
After introducing the technological foundation, Eugene presented to Middle Eastern and global partners the newly launched ecosystem initiative—the Asia Pacific Innovation Center (APIC), officially opened in Kuala Lumpur.
Eugene defined APIC’s strategic role: "APIC is more than just a physical space; it is a bridge connecting the DID ecosystem with real-world businesses and the Web3 world—an accelerator and capital connector we've built for global enterprises."
He elaborated on APIC’s three core functions as an "independent platform empowering commerce, finance, and trade":
1. Web3 Innovation Incubation: Serving as a global expansion base for cutting-edge projects, leveraging DID technology to offer startups full-chain support—from technical solutions and compliance consulting to market deployment.
2. Traditional Business Transformation: Bridging Web2 and Web3 by assisting traditional enterprises in leveraging blockchain technology for digital upgrades, enabling asset tokenization and business model innovation.
3. Global Education and Overseas Expansion Empowerment: Leveraging partnerships with top academic institutions such as MIT and UCLA Anderson School of Management, along with Kuala Lumpur’s geographic advantage as a Southeast Asian hub, to help businesses connect with markets in China, the U.S., Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East, while cultivating versatile talent with global perspectives.
Eugene emphasized that although APIC is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, its vision is global. This trip to Dubai aims to extend APIC’s empowerment network into the Middle East—one of the world’s most active capital centers—promoting deeper integration between Eastern and Western resources and fostering a more open and inclusive global business ecosystem.

Accelerating Global Expansion: Co-Building a New Digital Ecosystem
This Dubai meetup marks a crucial step in the DID Alliance’s global strategy. Through joint efforts with partners like Klickl, Techub News, and 1783DAO, DID has demonstrated its strong ecosystem connectivity within the industry.
With the continuous maturation of DID technology and the gradual rollout of strategic capabilities at the Asia Pacific Innovation Center (APIC), a global empowerment ecosystem spanning technical infrastructure, capital operations, education, training, and commercial implementation is rapidly taking shape. From its launch in Kuala Lumpur to its debut in Dubai, the DID Alliance is steadily advancing its global footprint, committed to connecting global value and reshaping the new order of digital commerce.
