LazAI, in collaboration with ZKM, Metis, and GOAT Network, launches GMPayer, an x402-based payment protocol for cross-chain AI payments without intermediaries.
AI Agents are gradually becoming independent economic participants, autonomously discovering services and executing payments. x402 and GMPayer represent the culmination of all these advancements, creating a decentralized on-chain economy where machines exchange value without intermediaries.
x402 Brings New Solutions and New Challenges
For 30 years, status code 402 has been reserved as a placeholder for "payment required." For AI Agents that autonomously negotiate services, this creates a fundamental bottleneck: they have funds, servers demand payment, but the protocol itself lacks a native way to complete the exchange.
Coinbase and Cloudflare established the x402 Foundation in September 2025 to standardize solutions for an overlooked bottleneck on the internet through decentralization and cryptographic technology. Major tech companies including Google, Visa, AWS, and Anthropic have joined and integrated it into their respective platforms.
However, connecting funds to AI agents is not merely a matter of speed. For x402 to be secure and reliable for AI-to-AI payments, the entire cycle must bind value with proof, rights, policies, and throughput all at once. It requires a fast lane with finality, a truth layer that turns execution into receipts, an ownership layer that correctly pays contributors, and a channel supporting multi-currency liquidity.

GMPayer Emerges
GMPayer (GOAT-Metis-Payer) is the first multi-currency payment hub powered by x402, developed collaboratively by LazAI and ZKM, with joint support from Metis and GOAT Network. It enables instant, trustless pay-per-request functionality across multiple blockchains and currencies—without centralized intermediaries, accounts, or manual intervention—allowing x402 to operate across multiple blockchain ecosystems.

Users can securely grant micro-payment permissions to their agents, allowing these agents to remain under control with budget limits even outside centralized cloud environments.
Phase Three: AI Business Network
Build an AI business network using DAT as the asset unit. AI services become assets; each invocation becomes a transaction, evolving from mere "tools" into sustainable revenue-generating systems.
Phase Four: Universal AI Value Exchange Layer

Metis: As the core for execution and settlement, Metis anchors transactions on Andromeda and scales inference workloads via Hyperion. Its low fees and rapid finality make x402 micropayments economically viable.
GOAT: As the native Bitcoin settlement layer, GOAT introduces EIP-3009 support and zkRollup infrastructure to bridge stablecoins and Bitcoin between GOAT and Metis with ultra-low-cost cross-chain operations.

What is $BANG?
1. $BANG is a proof-of-concept (PoC) token simultaneously issued on Metis Andromeda and GOAT Network, with a total supply of 1 billion (500 million on each chain); 250 million on each chain will be used for minting and 250 million for liquidity. The $BANG token currently serves only for PoC purposes and has no utilities.
2. Receive 5,000 $BANG tokens for every $1 contributed in $xMETIS or $xGOATED via the x402 standard, as part of the METIS Andromeda and GOATNetwork PoC.
3. You may donate any number of times before reaching the available limit, but each donation is capped at $1.
4. Token minting begins at 00:00 AM China Time on November 4, 2025, and lasts only 72 hours.
How It Works:
Send $xMETIS or $xGOATED via an x402 payment request on Metis Andromeda or GOAT Network.
Each transaction generates a verifiable proof and returns a corresponding amount of $BANG tokens as confirmation.
GMPayer supports both Metis Andromeda and GOAT Network, and allows you to convert tokens between $METIS/$xMETIS and $GOATED/$xGOATED at a 1:1 ratio.
Note: $xMETIS and $xGOATED are EIP-3009-compatible token standards designed to support the x402 protocol standard.
