@a16z releases fifth global AI application rankings: Top 100 revealed!
The latest list highlights the world's most popular AI websites and mobile apps, with usage rankings full of surprises!
Data insights + key highlights—check out which apps made the cut.

Consumer AI Market Gradually Stabilizing
In this edition, only 11 new entries joined the web ranking, down from 17 in the previous release. Mobile saw more additions, largely due to stricter app store oversight on ChatGPT clones.
*Excluding Google-owned products; see details below.

Google Makes a Strong Push
We ranked Google domains separately for the first time—four made the web ranking: -@geminiapp (#2) -@googleaistudio (#10) -@notebooklm (#13) -@googlelabs (#39). Notably, NotebookLM has seen continuous traffic growth since its breakout!

Grok and Meta Make Strong Entries
@grok debuted at #4 on the web ranking and #23 on mobile—amassing over 20 million monthly active users in under a year! The launch of Grok 4 and related products further boosted traffic. Meta entered the web ranking at #46 but failed to make the mobile list.

Chinese AI Ecosystem Rises, Succeeding Domestically and Globally
With ChatGPT, Claude, and others blocked, China’s local ecosystem is rapidly growing: Quark, Doubao (Doubao), Kimi, and others have entered the rankings thanks to strong domestic user bases. Most of their usage remains within China. More impressively, seven web companies and 22 mobile app companies originating from China made the list based on global user volume!

Vibe Coding Sparks New Craze, User Numbers Surge
Since ChatGPT, we haven't seen a growth phenomenon like vibe coding! @lovable_dev and @replit made their debut on the web ranking, while @boltdotnew landed on the Brink List. Data shows these platforms are not only driving usage of Vibe apps but also boosting traffic on related platforms like Supabase!

All-Star Lineup Emerges
In our fifth web Top 50 list, 14 companies have appeared every time—we call them the "All-Stars"! Creative tools dominate the lineup, followed by general-purpose large language model (LLM) assistants, productivity tools, model hosting platforms, and companion apps.

Brink List: Who Almost Made It?
Finally, meet the "Brink List"—apps that just missed the rankings!
Web: @PixAI_Official, @boltdotnew, @AiBlckbx, @clipchamp, @liner_app
Mobile: @Talkie_APP, SeeKee, Photo AI, @aimirror_app, @tryarvin

Congratulations to all上榜 apps—we can't wait to see the next list in June!
