According to the DeFi Education Fund, the U.S. SEC Crypto Task Force hosted a roundtable discussion today on "DeFi and the American Spirit."
In his opening remarks, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Paul Atkins stated that America’s values of economic freedom, private property rights, and innovation are deeply embedded in the DeFi movement. Atkins emphasized that builders of neutral tools should not be held liable for third-party actions, and engineers should not fall under federal securities laws simply for publishing software code.
U.S. SEC Requests Potential Solana ETF Issuers to Update S-1 Filings, Approvals Could Come as Early as July
According to Blockworks, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has requested potential Solana ETF issuers to submit revised S-1 forms by next week. The SEC indicated it will respond within 30 days after submission.
Insiders revealed that the SEC asked issuers to clarify language around in-kind redemptions and how staking would be handled. Regulators appear open to including staking as part of a Solana ETF. One source estimated these updates could lead to approval within the next three to five weeks, potentially as early as July.
U.S. SEC Initiates Review Process for Bitwise Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF Listing Application
Per an official announcement, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on June 10, 2025, initiated proceedings to review a listing application submitted by NYSE Arca for the Bitwise Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF. This ETF plans to hold both Bitcoin and Ethereum, with asset allocation based on the relative market capitalization of the two cryptocurrencies (currently approximately 83% Bitcoin and 17% Ethereum).
Bitwise Investment Advisers, LLC is the sponsor of the trust, while Coinbase Custody Trust Company will serve as custodian of the digital assets. The ETF will determine its daily net asset value using CME CF Bitcoin and Ethereum reference rates and will allow authorized participants to subscribe or redeem shares in units of 10,000 via cash transactions.

According to Yicai Global, the world’s only mint green LABUBU was sold for 1.08 million yuan at the Poly Spring Auction 2025 on June 10. Fueled by LABUBU’s breakout success, Pop Mart’s stock price has surged over tenfold since February 2024, reaching a total market capitalization of HK$347.6 billion. According to The Block, Simon McLoughlin, CEO of digital asset trading and financial services platform Uphold, said the company’s board has appointed FT Partners to explore strategic options, including a potential initial public offering (IPO) in the United States or acquisition by a payments firm.
