Below is everything you need to know to smoothly migrate your Walrus Site from testnet to mainnet.
🦭 Introducing Walrus Sites
Walrus Sites is a decentralized hosting service leveraging the programmability of Sui and Walrus. Website assets are stored on Walrus, while Sui manages metadata, references these assets, and orchestrates operations.
Users can access websites via the portal—mainnet portal at http://wal.app—but you can also manage your own site.
Follow the steps below to publish, access, and share your site ⬇️
🛠 Mainnet Website Deployment Process
After the Walrus mainnet launch, follow these steps to deploy your site:
1️⃣ Update your Site Builder CLI and Walrus CLI to the latest mainnet versions. Ensure your walrus config and sites-config.yaml are up-to-date! Package IDs have also been updated.
2️⃣ Make sure your wallet contains $WAL and $SUI for mainnet.
3️⃣ Use the CLI to publish your website and obtain your website's Object ID on Sui.
4️⃣ If you don't yet have a SuiNS domain, visit http://suins.io to get one.
5️⃣ Go to http://suins.io, navigate to Wallet -> Your Names -> Link to Walrus Sites (paste your website’s Object ID).
