Poor Market? Time to Farm Airdrops: 8 Key Strategies to Capture 2025 Airdrop Opportunities
You need to fully commit at the beginning of a project, but also know when to step away at the right moment.

In 2024, I earned seven-figure income through airdrop farming and successfully participated in over 100 airdrop projects.
Now, I’m sharing 8 practical tips to help you significantly boost your earnings in this space and achieve your goals in 2025.

1: Focus on PVP Skill-Based Airdrops
If you want to be a winner in this game and earn far more than others, you must seize those rare opportunities that give you a competitive edge.
Examples include: Tensor, Hyperliquid, Magic Eden, Meteora.
Treat it like a challenging video game—grind daily, sharpen your skills, optimize strategies, and aim to climb to the top of leaderboards.
These are the opportunities where life-changing returns are possible.
2: Don't Ignore Season 2
Many airdrop farmers stop participating after TGE (Token Generation Event), which is a serious mistake.
Most projects initially release only a small portion of tokens, while the majority of community allocations are often distributed later.
In fact, Season 2 airdrops can be more profitable than Season 1 because although rewards decrease, competition drops even more significantly.
3: The 8-Wallet Strategy
Serious airdrop farmers always use multiple wallets, and based on my experience, 8 is the ideal number.
This number allows for sufficient scale without raising red flags for Sybil attacks, while remaining manageable.
I typically divide them into two groups: 4 main wallets and 4 auxiliary wallets.
Main wallets are used for high-quality opportunities requiring active management, but with varying intensity.
For example, in a points-based airdrop, I might aim for 10 million points in the first main wallet, 5 million in the second, and 3 million each in the other two.
Auxiliary wallets are used for low-maintenance airdrops, performing identical actions across all four.
This strategy maximizes returns in both linear and tiered reward systems.
4: Reduce Time and Liquidity Intensity
This tip mainly applies to non-skill-based PVP airdrops.
Airdrop rewards usually favor early OGs (original users), so you need to go all-in at the beginning—but also know when to exit.
Take Hyperliquid as an example—a highly successful project. I expect many future projects will copy their model. For reference, they distribute the same amount of points weekly. However, during the first few weeks, the same activity could earn you up to 1,000x more points compared to the final weeks.
Yet I see many people scaling up endlessly due to hype on Crypto Twitter. Don’t follow them.
Your time and liquidity are limited resources—allocate them wisely. Go hard early, but shift focus once diminishing returns kick in. If you've already completed enough tasks early on, there’s no need to stick around until TGE.
This way, you become the “harvester,” not the one being harvested. Many projects extract maximum value from users as TGE approaches.
5: Master the Art of DMs
In crypto, real Alpha often flows through direct messages rather than public channels like Twitter or group chats—especially crucial in skill-based PVP airdrops. You should actively engage with the right people via DMs.
When you spot strong players in a space, reach out directly, build relationships, and support each other. Exchanging referral links is a great way to foster collaboration and align incentives.
You can also try DMing team members of projects you're involved in. They often share more valuable insights privately than in public forums.
In crypto, one key piece of insider information can completely transform your returns—never underestimate the value of networking through DMs.
6: Optimize Your Exit Strategy
Getting a good token allocation is only part of the success—the ultimate goal is selling those tokens at the best possible price.
Yet I see too many people asking others what to do on TGE day. They lack pre-defined plans and end up wasting months of effort due to poor decisions. Don’t be one of them.
Before every TGE, independently define your exit plan and targets. Avoid blindly following social media advice, as price targets are often biased and speculative.
To reduce volatility, gradually exit your position. Selling everything at once or holding indefinitely are both unwise. You’re likely not a professional trader—don’t try to perfectly time the market.
Gradual exits work best—sell 20%-50% at TGE depending on your goals, then adjust dynamically based on market conditions.
Remember, airdrops aren’t free money. Whether you received tokens via airdrop or bought them outright, they’re the same asset—manage your airdrop tokens just like any other investment.
7: Be an Organic Participant in Ecosystems
Airdrop farming isn’t just about testing projects and tech before TGE. Building genuine on-chain history within the right ecosystems can yield massive returns.
For instance, over the past year, simply using Solana or Sui and holding some NFTs may have earned you more than actively farming other L2s. ETH OG wallets have performed exceptionally well in airdrops across various EVM-compatible chains, sometimes outperforming typical farmers.
As airdrop farming grows more popular, I believe top-tier projects will increasingly reward users who naturally contribute to ecosystems—not just airdrop hunters. You can position yourself as a core participant in such ecosystems.
This year, exciting new ecosystems like Berachain, Monad, and Eclipse will emerge. These nascent networks offer golden opportunities for early adopters. Your efforts today determine whether you’ll be recognized as an OG tomorrow. If you believe in a new ecosystem, dive in boldly and enjoy the journey!
Who knows what doors it might open?
8: Seize the Moment
If you’ve made it this far, let me close with the most important advice—one you truly deserve.
Right now, dozens of projects are distributing billions of dollars worth of tokens every single month. Do you really think this window will stay open forever?
Trust me—it won’t. If you don’t act today, you’ll likely regret it deeply in the future.
Your current effort isn’t enough. Sacrifice some hobbies and leisure time. Go all-in. Push beyond your limits. Set ambitious goals—don’t settle for small wins.
This path won’t be easy. It may be painful, exhausting, and mentally draining. But you must love the challenge.
You are right now in the right place at the right time—with a unique, life-changing opportunity at your fingertips—and perhaps the power to change the lives of those you care about.
Don’t let it slip away.
