Ryan Selkis: Leaving Messari, I've started a new venture, Solomon
Ryan Selkis wants to use modern technology to build a "parallel Washington."
Author: Ryan Selkis, Founder of Messari
Translation: Luffy, Foresight News
I’ve left Messari and am now embarking on the most challenging project of my career: Solomon.
Below, I’ll outline:
-
Why I’m leaving Messari to focus full-time on two things: 1) a Trump victory; 2) building a “parallel Washington” using modern technology.
-
What this could look like over the next four years—and my 40-40-100-1000-400 strategy.
-
When you’ll hear more about the Solomon plan and its initial timeline.
-
Who I think I am, being so arrogant / crazy, to attempt something so bold and counter-cultural.
-
How you can help as I begin the first two phases of Solomon.
Why: Save the West, Save the World
It shocks me how few people seem afraid of the political, social, economic, and technological upheavals that are certain to unfold over the next decade.
But I’m not a pessimist. I’ve spent months reflecting on where I can best contribute to addressing the multiple crises pushing us into a “Fourth Turning,” a “world order shift,” or a “Great Reset.”
Three core ideas will drive my work:
1. The battle for control over the open internet, cryptocurrency, and artificial intelligence are the three most important struggles of the next decade. Liberal populist governments are far more likely to protect individual liberty, private property, and open-source technologies—especially AGI. Meanwhile, neoliberal / neo-Marxist / communist regimes are actively pursuing irreversible power and social control.
2. The U.S. Constitution remains the greatest safeguard of liberty in the world, making America the most critical political battleground. But the Constitution is just a document—its strength depends entirely on the people and power structures in Washington who uphold it faithfully.
3. A Trump re-election and the successful implementation of constitutional policies over the next four years offer our best chance to navigate the political, social, economic, and technological challenges ahead.
A soft landing during future crises is unlikely—but action must be taken to prevent global-scale violence.
What I’m Doing
I’ll soon share deeper insights into the Solomon plan. But with only two months until the U.S. presidential election, the short term may be even more critical.
Thus, my strategy is 40-40-100-1000-400:
40 Days to Victory: I’m dissatisfied with current pro-Trump political content—some of it is good, but some is harmful. I’ll focus on: Trump’s positive impact (winning swing voters), justified demonization of Harris and the establishment she represents, and mobilizing young men politically (to boost Trump turnout).
-
Week 1, Schelling Point: Rules for radicals, Google deplatforming, debate reactions, rallies around Bitcoin.
-
Week 2, Political Jujitsu: How to address popular Republican liabilities with friends and neutral critics (i.e., top debate rebuttals).
-
Week 3, Enemy Selection: Identify a vulnerable figure to expose the evil of the Democratic establishment.
-
Week 4, Key Issues: Full comparison of Trump vs. Harris on constitutionalism, immigration, war, economy, and technology.
-
Week 5, Global Political Struggle: Why 2024 and 2028 may be the most important elections ever, and why this is a fight between system vs. leadership.
-
Week 6, Leverage Capital: How we can use money to win over youth, Christians, and other swing voter blocs in the final stretch.
-
Week 7, Two Visions for the Future: The Trump-Harris showdown could trigger domestic and global political realignment.
-
Week 8, Savior vs. Stay of Execution: Possibility of bipartisan cooperation, crisis leadership.
40 Days to Transition: Specific actions depend on whether Trump or Harris wins…
100 Days to Execute: Dive into building the early framework of the new Solomon company.
1000 Days to Build: Construct a parallel Washington—an information system where people with differing political views can coexist.
400 Days to 2028: Focus on the AGI alliance and the 2028 Republican nominee.
How I’ll Do It
I’ll begin publishing content on X (drafts) and Substack (edited posts) starting September 9. I’m somewhat terrified by this plan—worried I’ve taken on more than I can handle.
Friend, Are You Okay? Join Me
I believe we face a 30% chance of a disastrous decade—one that could kill billions and potentially collapse civilization.
You might laugh at my outlook. But I’ve always been grounded in realism, and I know enough math to understand that 30% is a serious probability—even if it’s not the most likely outcome. I have enough confidence not to act like an NPC when facing such a risk.
If you agree with me, you have no choice but to go all-in and help me find the best solutions.
I’ve always approached my work with intentional conviction—never going “all-in” without deep consideration.
In 2013, I dropped out of business school to fully commit to the emerging crypto industry.
In 2020, I published radical early views on the COVID-19 black swan event.
Recently, I’ve shared prescient takes on political strategy and potential outcomes—including my June 30 prediction that Biden would drop out, Kamala would ascend, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. would join Trump’s campaign.

Over the past decade, I’ve built multiple information businesses each worth over $100 million, helped form the largest pro-Republican Super PAC in U.S. history, and pushed the GOP to adopt pro-crypto policy into its official platform. I’ve also invested in over 100 tech companies. My time in Washington has taught me one thing: some problems cannot be solved from within—sometimes, rebuilding requires external force.
I’m personally fine—but the world feels like it’s spiraling. The sad truth is, no one is coming to save us. The good news? We can save ourselves. Please give me a sword.
