THENA and SheFi successfully hosted the "GM Meetup Tokyo" event, fostering industry exchange in Web3
The "GM Meetup Tokyo" event not only successfully facilitated communication and collaboration within the Web3 industry, but also explored opportunities for deeper cooperation in the future.
Earlier this month, Sony Group, with a market capitalization exceeding $100 billion, announced its acquisition of Amber Japan, marking its entry into the cryptocurrency exchange platform sector. The Japanese crypto market, relatively isolated due to significant language barriers, has become fertile ground for GameFi, NFTs, AI-generated art, and related projects and products, thanks to Japan's globally renowned unique artistic culture. On July 27, THENA and SheFi hosted the offline event "GM Meetup Tokyo" in Shibuya, Tokyo’s busiest commercial district, co-organized by Curvegrid and GreenPill Japan, with special appreciation extended to partners Orbs and Rise for their strong support.
As a leading DEX within the BNB Chain ecosystem, THENA aims to deepen its presence in the Japanese market and strengthen partnerships. For this event, it specially invited local Japanese media partners and communities including KudasaiJP and Pacific Meta, along with projects boasting large Japanese followings such as Orbs, Polygon, Mask, and Rise, to jointly discuss key topics in the Web3 industry.

Held at the Crypto Cafe & Bar in Shibuya, the event attracted nearly 200 pre-registrations, with over 100 attendees checking in on site. The agenda included opening remarks from organizers, panel discussions, and a networking session.

Panel Discussion: Shaping the Future of Web3

The first panel brought together female representatives from prominent projects including SheFi, THENA, Pudgy Korea, Polygon, and Pacific Meta, who shared personal experiences and insights about working in the industry. They discussed how women in the Web3 space can better support one another. Their engaging talks sparked lively audience interaction, with participants from projects like Lido posing questions directly to the panelists. The dynamic exchange provided valuable perspectives for all attendees.

During the second panel discussion, KudasaiJP—the largest Japanese Web3 community—alongside THENA, the leading ve(3,3) model DEX on BNB Chain, Layer3, DeFi infrastructure provider Orbs, Layer2 solution RISE Chain, and Woman in Science Japan introduced their respective organizations and products. Panelists discussed the current state and challenges of the Japanese market, explored trending topics in the crypto industry, and shared outlooks on future development.

Networking Session: Strengthening Industry Connections

During the networking session, participants engaged in meaningful conversations and interactions. Both seasoned professionals and newcomers exchanged ideas and experiences in a relaxed atmosphere.
Looking Ahead
The "GM Meetup Tokyo" successfully fostered communication and collaboration within the Web3 industry while exploring opportunities for deeper future cooperation. Through insightful discussions and thought-provoking exchanges, attendees gained a clearer understanding of the current landscape and future trends in Web3, while also building valuable connections. Going forward, THENA will continue advancing the Web3 ecosystem and remain committed to its vision of “bringing DeFi to the masses.” THENA is set to participate in major crypto events including Korea Blockchain Week (KBW) and Token 2049 in Singapore, and looks forward to collaborating with more partners to shape the future together.
