Kuala Lumpur, July 15 — Malaysia Blockchain Week (MYBW), the country’s inaugural event of its kind, is set to bring Malaysia’s mainstream society into the Web3 world. Rooted in Malaysia within the international digital space, MYBW unites Malaysian founders and prominent industry leaders from the digital frontier.
The week-long event is organized by Lydian Labs, a leading Malaysian Web3 powerhouse, in collaboration with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), and officially launched by YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital.
Witnessing Malaysia’s Faces in Blockchain
The Web3 space transcends international borders, drawing Malaysians committed to advancing the industry’s untapped frontiers.
As such, many Malaysians have emerged as industry titans in blockchain, wielding significant influence and expertise within the sector. Though largely unknown in everyday life, fortunate MYBW attendees will gain intimate access to these Malaysian founders behind key Web3 companies.
Young entrepreneurs and aspiring individuals eager to explore Web3, alongside seasoned international investors, will benefit from gatherings of blockchain experts and Web3 veterans.
At MYBW, expect to meet local industry giants who are attending to support Malaysia-led initiatives and deliver unique industry insights during keynote speeches and panel discussions.

Additionally, Ong is a contributing author to two digital currency books—*Handbook of Digital Currency* (First Edition) and *Handbook of Blockchain, Digital Finance, and Inclusion* (Volume 1). He was named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Asia list in 2019 and graduated from University College London in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics.
