Web3 Gaming Summit 2023 Day One concludes successfully: Top 10 games compete in Singapore
This hackathon aims to unlock the potential of the gaming industry through blockchain technology, bridging Web2 and Web3, unleashing the power of blockchain gaming, and driving sustained and rapid development of the Gaming ecosystem.

On September 11, 2023, the Web3 Gaming Hackathon 2023 Grand Finals and Awards Ceremony, co-hosted by ABGA, Klaytn, Iskra, and CESS, was successfully held at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore. Since the hackathon began, over a hundred game projects have been fiercely competing, and today, ten top-tier teams presented their outstanding project outcomes to attendees, vying for the final championship title and a prize pool of $80K USD, along with Google Cloud credits, SlowMist audit discounts, and other generous rewards.

This hackathon aims to unlock the potential of the gaming industry through blockchain technology, bridging Web2 and Web3, unleashing the power of blockchain gaming, and driving the continuous and rapid development of the Gaming ecosystem.
In addition to intense competition, experts from various fields delivered insightful speeches at the event, sharing their recent strategies regarding Web3 gaming.
Mr. Astin Han, Ecosystem Business Manager at Klaytn, stated that Klaytn is committed to supporting Web3 developers and recently launched the "Ignite on Klaytn (IOK)" program—a one-stop solution designed to support developers and strengthen the Klaytn ecosystem.
Following this, Mr. Ben Colayco, CFO of Iskra, discussed how Iskra is contributing to global expansion and local execution in the Web3 gaming market by launching an integrated, end-to-end Web3 gaming community platform.
Ms. Jessie, Co-founder and COO of CESS, spoke at the event about CESS being the first large-scale commercial storage blockchain solution built for Web3, currently empowering Web3 games to achieve "digital immortality"—supporting the digital longevity of Web3 games.
Mr. Eefy Lin, Customer Solutions Architect at Google Cloud APAC, revealed that Google Cloud is building a Blockchain Node Engine to automate blockchain infrastructure deployment, while also developing BigQuery public datasets to enable multi-chain analytics and real-time unified data ingestion architecture.
SlowMist CTO Blue highlighted several of the company’s services during his speech, including blockchain security auditing, consulting and monitoring services, and blockchain AML/CFT compliance solutions.
NuLink CTO Pawn shared information about NuLink with attendees, revealing that NuLink is closely collaborating with multiple GameFi partners to provide secure privacy-preserving solutions that empower Web3 gaming.
Mr. Paul Solntsev, Head of Cointelegraph Accelerator, spoke on the topic of accelerating GameFi adoption. He pointed out that despite issues such as poor game quality, limited awareness among non-Web3 players, and lack of sustainable business models, GameFi remains promising, offering multidimensional advice to Web3 startups. Finally, Paul Solntsev noted that the Cointelegraph Accelerator is providing media products, marketing guidance, mentorship, and support to Web3 startups.
