On January 14, the Moonshot Workshop 2022/2023 Web3 Winter Hackathon Apollo Day was successfully held, with a total of 22 projects emerging to enter Moonshot Apollo Day. This hackathon was co-organized by HKUST Crypto Fintech Lab, Blockchain Academy, Aspecta, RSS3, KCC, Zettablock, and IOSG, receiving 216 global project applications. Fifty teams were selected to participate in the hackathon workshops, and ultimately 22 teams advanced to the final Moonshot Apollo Day to showcase their achievements to the public. At this Apollo Day, KK, founder of Hash Global, and Dr. Lucas, founder of Bytrade, delivered keynote speeches.

Project Overview:
Project Name: Chataverse
One-liner: An NFT-gated "community" chat application Founding Team: Chataverse team members graduated from UCSD, USC, and UW. They have previously worked at Apple, Tesla, JPMorgan, and ByteDance. Chataverse is an NFT-gated social messaging app. The Web3 community needs a dedicated NFT-gated social chat application that allows users to interact transparently and securely while jointly governing communities. Users can create their own communities, chat, and post content within Chataverse, with NFT ownership verification strengthening the connection between NFT holders and their communities. This marks the second time the Chataverse team has participated in the Moonshot Hackathon, and they recently secured pre-seed funding from Y Combinator US.Project Name: ST World
One-liner: A UGC platform for spatial computing that leverages blockchain technology to build a creator economy. Founding Team: The founding team includes Bell Chen (CEO), who published research on generative AI at IEEE at age 18; Elijah Mansur (CTO), a fast learner who built all backend and smart contracts with only 16 months of programming experience; and Yuan Hong (Product Lead), a passionate gamer and game developer. System Terminal is a user-generated content platform combining 3D and AI, enabling users to easily create, share virtual environments and AR decorations, and monetize them. Our goal is to train a powerful large-scale 3D generative model using created data, significantly reducing the cost of 3D content. We've also designed a new token standard—Non-Fungible Copyright Token (NFCT)—to facilitate collaborative relationships around 3D creations.Project Name: ORG3
One-liner: An organization management tool based on ENS subdomains. Founding Team: Org3 team members graduated from USC and CMU, with work experience at Google, Meta, TikTok, PonyAI, etc. The project founder previously won the top award at ETHSanFrancisco. Project Introduction: Org3 is a decentralized organization and community management tool built on ENS subdomains. Compared to traditional token-based solutions, Org3 offers a cheaper, more convenient, and more secure alternative. Leveraging ENS resolution services, Org3 provides users with an intuitive organizational structure, eliminating the need to use indistinguishable wallet addresses within organizations. Org3 enables users to create and distribute subdomains at very low gas fees. Compared to token-based approaches, it allows users to set various rules and gain greater control. With ENS subdomains at its core, Org3 is integrating with DApps and DAO tools to support decentralized work environments.Project Name: Symposium Lab

Founding Team: Team members from Australia and China, graduated from Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Beihang University, with prior experience at major internet companies and research labs, possessing deep expertise in cryptography, blockchain, and privacy-preserving technologies. Project Introduction: Eigen Network has developed a hierarchical proof system with constant proof size and trustless setup. It extends zkVM with a private standard template library to support privacy-preserving computation and builds zkzkRollup as a privacy layer for web3.0.Project Name: CALDANCE

Project Introduction: The NFT sector faces challenges including high price volatility, insufficient liquidity, high entry costs for blue-chip projects, and price collapses among ordinary projects due to lack of liquidity. This is their second participation in the Moonshot Hackathon. Project Introduction: Built on MPC (multi-party computation) and ZK technologies, Sodium establishes a trustless network where private keys are never generated or stored on the user side. Decentralized, trustless nodes store fragments of information with privacy guarantees between nodes. Unlike Multisig and all non-custodial wallets, its underlying paradigm constructs an extremely secure information confidentiality system.
