StarGarden: A blockchain auto-battler game featuring an elastic economy composed of 120 tokens

Just recently, Ancient8—the largest Vietnamese gaming guild that just secured $6 million in funding—released an extensive introduction to a blockchain auto-chess game called Project Eluune: StarGarden.
Below is a brief overview of this auto-chess blockchain game.
Project Overview
Project Eluüne: StarGarden is an auto-chess blockchain game.
Set in a fractured world ravaged by war, the game takes place across floating islands known as "Star Gardens." Players battle using various creatures, while also using these Star Gardens as social hubs to build and explore the world together with their tribe members.

From Social Mechanics to a New Token Economy
Most player activities revolve around the diverse Star Gardens—a vibrant and evolving land where players raise and train their creatures, and collaborate with tribe members to develop this promised land.
By minting a StarGarden NFT, players become owners of a Star Garden and leaders of their island tribe. The garden levels up alongside its residents. Within each garden, tribe members can cooperate to complete time-limited tasks, advancing their domain challenges and permanently increasing Play-to-Own opportunities for everyone on the island.

The unique aspect of this mechanism is: the more people in a garden, the stronger it becomes, unlocking new gameplay options and enhancing its overall value and utility—the core of the entire game.
The project aims to connect Web3 gaming with the real world through “social” elements, strengthening bonds between players via cooperative gameplay. To this end, the development team has also introduced geolocation features to tighten online-offline integration, making player-built communities more robust.
Built upon this strong social foundation, Project Eluüne has also developed an intriguing tokenomic system designed to create a self-regulating economy capable of automatically responding to various conditions to restore balance.
As players progress through the game, the tokens they can use change accordingly. With around 120 different tokens in the game, when players advance to higher tiers and acquire more advanced tokens, they lose access to lower-tier ones.

This model incentivizes new user acquisition—whether driven by profit or gameplay—ensuring new players aren’t overshadowed by veterans.
-
On the other hand, creating substantial liquidity across multiple token layers helps maintain stability and equilibrium throughout the ecosystem.

Team and Funding
Project Eluüne boasts a strong team. Founder 0xBelkan has been planning the entire Project Eluüne since 2016. He previously led teams of game developers and engineers in creating custom AR/VR/MR experiences for clients such as AT&T, PBS, Cox, Google, Warner Brothers, and Mozilla. These works have been exhibited in over 60 cities and 100 venues worldwide.
-
Game designer and co-founder Crazy Mad Scientist previously served as the Metagame/Economy Designer for World of Tanks and World of Warships.
-
One of the team’s advisors, Craig Allen, is the founder of AAA studio Spark Unlimited (where the Call of Duty series originated) and former Senior Vice President at Disney Interactive.
-
The rest of the team hails from companies including Valve, Wargaming, Immutable, and Microsoft.
Project Eluüne successfully raised $5 million in seed funding, led by C2 Ventures, with participation from Polygon, 6th Man, Lightspeed, Everyrealm, Morningstar, Avalaunch, Big Brain Holdings, and Ancient8.
Project Assessment
The project has been active within the Solana ecosystem for some time, catching the tail end of last year’s GameFi 1.0 wave.
In recent months, it announced plans to deploy on Polygon and jumped on market trends by incorporating SBT and DID concepts.
The developer team’s credentials demonstrate both ambition and capability to bring this grand vision to life.
The game is currently being developed for PC, with plans to port it to iOS and Android. A closed beta is expected to launch next year—let’s look forward to what this group of self-proclaimed “Degens” and “visionary madmen” will deliver.
