There are many ways to make money in the crypto space, and airdrop farming is undoubtedly one of the lowest-cost and most accessible methods to start from scratch. So, what avenues can help us discover early airdrop opportunities? Here are seven paths.
Airdrops mainly come in three types:
1) Retroactive Airdrops: These distribute a certain amount of native tokens to users who have interacted with a dApp, such as $UNI.
2) Holder Airdrops: Distributed to holders or stakers of specific tokens.
3) Task-based Airdrops.
Retroactive airdrops are often substantial—tokens like $ENS and $DYDX were distributed this way, as were many smaller dApps. Last summer, many early YieldYak users received 4-digit $YAK airdrops.
1.DefiLlama
The first tool for finding retroactive airdrops is DefiLlama’s airdrop page. I usually sort by TVL to identify the largest opportunities. While it's uncertain whether these dApps will actually conduct airdrops, it's a solid starting point for your airdrop strategy.

2.Airdrops.io
The next tool to help you hunt airdrops is Airdrops.io, which lists various airdrops. Airdrops.io complements DefiLlama by surfacing some dApps not listed there.

3. Twitter Resources
A third source for discovering airdrops is following dedicated airdrop researchers on Twitter.
For example, CHASE is an excellent airdrop hunter who has written extensively about airdrops. In particular, CHASE offers deep insights and resources on incentivized testnets—often overlooked by others.
4.Earnifi
Qualifying for an airdrop is only half the battle—you also need to claim it. Earnifi checks your address to see if you’re eligible for airdrops on Ethereum, BSC, and other chains.

The Cosmos ecosystem is well-known for offering numerous airdrops to participants. The process is relatively simple—most projects grant eligibility simply by staking $ATOM, $OSMO, $JUNO, or other tokens.
CosmosAirdrops.io provides information about these airdrops and where to claim them.

With the above resources, you’ll catch many retroactive and holder-based airdrops. Now let’s move on to task-based airdrops. While I personally don’t enjoy doing these, here are some channels for those interested.
6.Airdrop NEWS Telegram
This Telegram group aggregates airdrop announcements where you can complete tasks to qualify for rewards. Their announcements typically look like this:

7.Airdrop Alert
A website filled with giveaways and airdrops. Most of these airdrops aren’t very valuable, but if you lack initial capital, this is a decent way to get started.
