Notable NFT Projects: Local Weather, LOST IN JUKIVERSE, and More
An introduction to some early NFT projects.
Author: Hueyy, TechFlow
In the future, we will periodically summarize some early-stage NFT projects worth watching. This week's featured projects generally have no announced mint price or launch date—some are extremely early—but in the author’s opinion, they deserve attention. These include Local Weather, a sports beverage brand backed by high-profile founders; LOST IN JUKIVERSE, the NFT project based on Indonesia’s national comic character JUKI; and OPUS CLUB, which has caught the eye of a16z’s editor-in-chief…
Evaluation criteria are relatively subjective and do not constitute any investment advice.
BBRC X Ivy Boys

South Korean artist Aaron Chang is a menswear illustrator and design director at New Balance Korea. The BBRC x Ivy Boys NFT series shares the same clean, minimalist artistic style as his apparel designs. Founder Nelson Yap is also well-known in the fashion industry, being the founder and CEO of the menswear brand Benjamin Barker.
As for utility details, while there is currently no clear roadmap, the official team states that NFT holders will own full intellectual property rights to their NFTs. This means you’re free to create derivative works—if you don’t like your NFT’s outfit, you can add accessories or even cosplay it in real life.
The project currently enjoys solid popularity, with strong traffic and engagement on both Discord and Twitter. It will be interesting to see how this NFT collides with fashion branding. Mint supply: 7,777. Mint price and date remain unannounced.
Local Weather

Local Weather brings together an impressive lineup: it’s a joint NFT project co-launched by Russell Wilson, AJ Vaynerchuk, and H+S Lab.
Russell Wilson is a Super Bowl-winning quarterback, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and author. He has been selected to nine Pro Bowls and received the prestigious Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award in 2021. AJ Vaynerchuk is co-founder and co-CEO of VaynerSports and partner at VaynerFund. He is also an active NFT investor, personally holding assets such as VeeFriends, CryptoPunks, and Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC). H+S Labs is a subsidiary of New York-based design agency Harper+Scott, with extensive experience in brand building and marketing.
Local Weather is itself a sports drink brand offering various flavors. The team aims to use NFTs to build a strong social community—essentially serving as VIP access to exclusive Local Weather benefits. NFT holders may receive perks such as limited-edition drinks delivered directly to their doorsteps. For fans in the U.S., this presents a great opportunity to engage with the community while enjoying free beverages. The project is currently gaining significant traction. Mint price and release date remain unannounced.
LOST IN JUKIVERSE

JUKI is the titular character from the webcomic Si JUKI, first published online in 2010. The story follows an unusually young adult male navigating humorous situations and adventures.
One reason for JUKI’s surge in popularity is its animated series, which premiered on Disney+ Hotstar Indonesia on January 29, 2021, becoming the first Indonesian animated series to appear on the platform.
It’s no exaggeration to say that JUKI holds a cultural status in Indonesia similar to that of Hongmao and Lantu in China. Much like Suneo from Doraemon, JUKI’s quirky, ugly-cute appearance has deeply resonated with audiences. People find charm in his oddness, appreciate his creativity, and are willing to support him financially. One fast way to secure a whitelist spot for LOST IN JUKIVERSE is by purchasing one of JUKI’s previously released NFTs—the JUKI X series or Cosplay series.
The LOST IN JUKIVERSE NFT collection will consist of 3,456 pieces, created by Indonesian artist Faza. Mint price and date remain unannounced.
MONKO

The MONKO NFT series was created by artist David Choe, an American painter and musician known for his raw, frenetic creative method, which he calls the “dirty style.” Though Choe is an established artist whose personal website showcases more traditional art forms, he remains open to new mediums—this NFT project marks his experimental foray into digital creation.
The overall design of the MONKO NFTs features simple lines yet expressive, vivid characters. The project leans heavily into artistic expression and is highly dependent on individual aesthetic taste. Expected mint date: June 2022. Mint price remains unannounced.
OPUS CLUB

OPUS CLUB is a retro-themed NFT project aiming to create something truly unique, innovative, and unprecedented—not just within the NFT space but globally. This ambition is undeniably grand. What stood out initially was the team’s effort to reform whitelist acquisition practices. They exposed existing black-market whitelist trading and pledged to allocate spots only to genuine supporters. This commitment was genuinely refreshing. The project has already drawn attention from Sonal Chokshi, editor-in-chief at a16z, whose journalistic instincts likely spotted OPUS CLUB’s potential early on. Currently, the project remains in its earliest stages. Mint price and date remain unannounced.
