Berachain airdrop has arrived, save this token guide and 80+ ecosystem project navigation
15.8% of BERA's initial total supply is allocated for airdrops.
Written by: TechFlow

Bad news: the market has experienced a "spring劫".
Good news: Berachain's mainnet and token airdrop are here.
Yesterday, Berachain announced its mainnet launch plan, along with its tokenomics ($BERA) and airdrop rules, giving hope back to countless investors battered by losses.
Don't forget that before the mainnet launch, Boyco—the liquidity pre-staking app launched by Berachain—attracted over $3 billion in funds within a week, reflecting strong market enthusiasm.
Claiming an airdrop for recovery or seeking new project opportunities within the Berachain ecosystem are both solid options.
If you're not yet familiar with Berachain, TechFlow provides a concise summary of its PoL mechanism, token economics, and airdrop rules to help you quickly grasp the roles of Bera, BGT, and Honey and understand the airdrop details;
If you already know what Berachain is, we've also compiled a list of 80+ ecosystem projects to guide your treasure hunt.
Basic Information
Berachain is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain built on the Cosmos SDK, featuring the Proof of Liquidity (PoL) consensus mechanism designed to optimize network security and liquidity incentives through economic modeling.
The PoL mechanism is clearly innovative—let’s reiterate its core logic:
-
Traditional PoS Dilemma: Validator rewards are disconnected from application demand → inflation from staking causes token depreciation → liquidity dries up (as seen in early Ethereum).
Berachain links validator rewards directly to application demand and liquidity contributions, creating a dynamic adjustment mechanism:
-
Validators must “buy liquidity”: Validator nodes must purchase LP tokens (e.g., HONEY/ETH pool) via protocols like BEX to earn higher rewards, forcing validators to become liquidity providers for the ecosystem.
-
Boost mechanism regulates inflation: The system dynamically adjusts rewards based on on-chain metrics such as transaction volume and liquidity depth, avoiding meaningless token issuance.
Under this mechanism, there are three types of tokens:

$BERA Tokenomics and Airdrop Details
Among the three tokens above, BERA is foundational. The official team has now released its tokenomics and airdrop eligibility criteria, summarized below.
BERA (Gas Token)
-
Function: Pay for on-chain transaction gas fees; used for node staking (validators must stake BERA to produce blocks).
-
Initial Total Supply: 500 million tokens (no hard cap, ~10% annual inflation rate achieved through BGT minting).
-
Allocation Breakdown:
-
Core Contributors (16.8%): Big Bera Labs team and advisors.
-
Investors (34.3%): Seed, Series A, and Series B investors.
-
Community Airdrop (15.8%): Testnet users, NFT holders, ecosystem developers, etc.
-
Future Community Programs (13.1%): Incentive programs, developer grants, etc.
-
Ecosystem Development (20%): Technical upgrades, liquidity incentives, foundation operations.
-

-
Vesting Rules: All allocated parties (team, investors, community) are subject to a 1-year lock-up period, followed by phased unlocking:
-
After Year 1, 1/6 is unlocked;
-
The remaining 5/6 is linearly released over 24 months.
-
Who Is Eligible for the Airdrop?
15.8% of the initial BERA supply is allocated for the airdrop. Eligible recipients include:

Ecosystem Project Compilation
If you've participated in testnet activities or held NFTs, receiving an airdrop would be great. But even if you missed the early stages, hunting for gems among ecosystem projects remains a smart move.
Based on data from research-focused Berachain blogger @Berasearch, we’ve compiled a list of 80+ native Berachain projects alphabetically from A to Z, complete with brief introductions, to help you explore and research further.

The list above includes only native Berachain projects; in reality, the total number of projects on Berachain has already exceeded 100. While we can't predict which projects will succeed, in an expanding ecosystem with limited attention, using curated navigation to quickly access project summaries ensures you stay close to opportunities.

In the original document by @Berasearch, each project listed above includes a corresponding thread link. Interested readers can directly visit and explore.
