Sharing some thoughts on building higherrrrrr, estimated reading time: 5 minutes. Since this is just a casual note of ideas, please forgive any spelling errors.
In this article, I’ll cover the following points:
-
What is @higherrrrrrrfun?
-
How does @higherrrrrrrfun differ from @higheronchain?
-
What’s next?
First, what is @higherrrrrrrfun?
In short, we are a new meme coin launch platform where tokens “evolve” as their price or market cap changes. On-chain, a token’s metadata is dynamic and can be updated. We’ve combined these metadata changes with a “leveling” system—tokens change state based on price data pulled via Uniswap pool oracles tied to the token.
This means you can create tokens like IDK that visually evolve—for instance, grow larger in image form—as the price increases, as shown below:

Since introducing this primitive, we’ve discovered many exciting possibilities. One such idea is “Conviction NFTs.” Simply put, these NFTs are minted when you purchase a certain amount of a token’s supply through the protocol, serving as on-chain proof that you were an early buyer.
For example, here’s a pi coin I bought—it now lives in my wallet. We believe these NFTs will hold value, especially rarer editions.

The platform is still very early. I built the protocol and platform in about 10 days and launched it. We already have initial users and community traction. The protocol did around 600 ETH in trading volume in its first week. You can check it out here.

Why the similar name to @higheronchain?
This is a bit awkward—I stopped using Farcaster around January this year and went back to Twitter. I wasn’t following that community closely, so I wasn’t aware. I only realized it when another friend at Coinbase mentioned, “this might be an issue.”
Today I was on a podcast called *The Purple Pod*, where I shared some thoughts on how we might address the branding overlap. Today I also updated our logo (it was very similar before—probably because options are limited when naming something “higher”). I think this is a good start. If both communities feel the name is problematic, we can discuss potential updates together. I hadn’t changed it earlier because I was heads-down launching the product.
I’ve been in touch with the higheronchain team, and we’re discussing setting up a community fund to support projects under @higheronchain. I fully support this. It’s one of the things you can do without venture capital backing. I’m ready to start diverting a portion of fee revenue into this fund (not much, but something—currently around $25k, part of which can go toward this, though I still need to cover employee and RPC costs). Just need a multi-sig address to receive the funds.
From a trademark perspective, the higheronchain team has expressed understanding about the use of the word “higher.” Most trademark conflicts arise only when two projects with identical names are doing exactly the same thing. While we share similar foundational elements, our concepts are different. Changing the logo is a good starting point, and let’s be honest—our name has seven R’s, which is kind of funny.
What’s next?
I finally get to catch my breath and stabilize the community after the launch wave. It’ll just be a short break—I pushed hard to get here. Now it’s time to get back to building:
Here’s a rough roadmap:
-
Add NFT and profile support in the user interface (tomorrow, or by Friday at latest)
-
Integrate ai16z bot support for each token deployed by creators (still planning, expect completion this weekend)
-
Enable multi-chain support via LayerZero (targeting next week)

As always, keep building! We (I) strongly encourage developers to build on this technology. We think it’s cool and want to see it widely adopted.
