Strengthening Global Leadership Team, OKX Appoints Former Goldman Sachs and McKinsey Executive Yuri Mushkin as Global Chief Risk Officer
During his tenure at OKX, Mushkin will be responsible for leading the company's global risk strategy and the enterprise risk management function independent of business operations, reporting directly to the CEO and the board.
On October 15, global exchange and Web3 technology company OKX announced the appointment of Yuri Mushkin as its Global Chief Risk Officer based in Singapore.
Prior to joining OKX, Yuri was a partner at McKinsey Investment Office (MIO), a global investment advisory firm managing over $20 billion in assets across public and private capital markets. He brings more than two decades of experience in capital markets and risk management spanning both traditional and digital assets, having held executive roles at multinational firms including Goldman Sachs and McKinsey. At OKX, Mushkin will lead the company’s global risk strategy and an independent enterprise risk management function, reporting directly to the CEO and the board.
Star Xu, founder and CEO of OKX, said: “Strong risk management has always been a top priority and part of our DNA. Over the past decade, we’ve navigated multiple crypto market cycles and demonstrated resilience before leading regulators, financial institutions, and corporate partners worldwide. I’m delighted to welcome Yuri as our Global Chief Risk Officer. His appointment is part of our ongoing efforts to build products that meet the high expectations of our customers and global stakeholders.”
OKX is committed to responsible growth on a global scale. On October 10, the company announced it has officially launched and received licensing to operate in the UAE, becoming the first global cryptocurrency company to offer AED banking services to both retail and institutional clients in the country.
In September, the company announced that its local entity, OKX SG Pte. Ltd. (OKX SG), obtained a Major Payment Institution (MPI) license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
In July, OKX designated Malta as its hub under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, enabling the exchange to offer products and services to over 450 million residents across the European Union in the coming months.
Committed to transparency, OKX publishes its Proof of Reserves (PoR) report monthly.
