Free is the way—learn how to quickly engage with BTC L2 airdrop project Photon
Recently, Photon launched the second phase of its incentivized testnet, Aurora, and officially announced that users can earn airdropped reward tokens $PTON by completing testnet tasks and interactions.
After several rounds of free airdrops, more and more people are now focusing on projects within the BTC ecosystem. The reason is simple: BTC ecosystem airdrops are low-barrier, straightforward, and currently still 0-cost to participate in—offering exceptional value amid an environment saturated with aggressive marketing tactics.
While the inscriptions ecosystem has cooled down temporarily, BTC Layer 2s are being developed at full speed, making various BTC L2 projects the new battleground for bounty hunters.
Today, let's walk through how to 0-cost farm an upcoming BTC L2 project called Photon, incubated by SatoshiSync. Photon aims to unlock the vast potential of the BTC market through high-performance processing capabilities.
Currently in its early stages, Photon hasn't disclosed any funding details yet. Compared to other highly competitive BTC L2 projects already gaining traction, Photon offers a rare window for early interaction. Once fundraising is announced and the floodgates open to mass participation, this "first-mover advantage" will likely disappear.
Recently, Photon launched the second phase of its incentivized testnet, Aurora, and officially confirmed that users can earn $PTON airdrop rewards by completing testnet tasks.
The testnet offers a one-stop frontend interface with extremely simple steps. Claiming testnet tokens and interacting is smooth and seamless. Joining the official Discord server now to obtain specific roles might result in additional recognition rewards for early community members—similar to what Monad and other projects have done. Get moving quickly.

Introduction complete. Let’s start farming.
-
Connect wallet and Twitter, add testnet network
First, visit the Photon testnet interaction page. The frontend displays eight available tasks, though fewer require actual wallet interactions.
Connect your wallet and Twitter account. The required Twitter permissions are minimal, so it’s safe to proceed. Then, add the Photon Aurora Test Network to your wallet (the one-stop interaction makes this very convenient). With this step, the first three tasks are completed.

-
Claim testnet tokens
You can claim testnet tokens directly from the frontend—smooth and instant. Note that you can only claim once. If the tokens don’t appear immediately, refresh your wallet a few times.

-
Mint NFTs
Enter any text to mint. You can mint up to five NFTs total, each earning 100 points. Be sure to mint all five.

-
Stake NFTs
Immediately after minting, stake your NFTs. Our testing suggests you can stake only one at most. After staking, try reversing the action: claim staking rewards → unstake → restake.

-
Referral link
At this point, all project-related interactions are complete (truly simple). You can now use your referral link to invite friends. We recommend using a main account to invite alts before they interact.

-
Galxe verification
After completing project interactions, head to Galxe to verify and secure your airdrop eligibility. The Galxe verification is even simpler—just engage with the project’s official social media channels. We won’t walk through each step here. After finishing all verifications, remember to click “Confirm” at the bottom.
Note: First-time wallet connections to Galxe require registration.

Conclusion
Don’t be discouraged by current market conditions. Wipe away your tears and join us in farming these airdrops.
