III. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
A. Product Basics
1. What exactly is Bitget U.S. Stocks?
Bitget U.S. Stocks is Bitget’s real U.S. stock trading channel, powered by deep collaboration with licensed U.S. broker-dealers RQD Clearing and Atomic Vaults Securities. Orders route directly to NASDAQ, NYSE, and compliant market makers for execution—ensuring high-quality market liquidity. Users can buy, hold, and fully benefit from real U.S. stocks—including cash dividends, stock dividends, and shareholder voting rights—directly through the Bitget App.
2. How does Bitget U.S. Stocks differ from rTokens (U.S. stock tokens)?
The core distinction lies in underlying assets and ownership rights:
Bitget U.S. Stocks: Represents real shares held in custody under a licensed broker-dealer. Users own actual U.S. equities and enjoy full shareholder rights—including cash/stock dividends and voting rights.
rToken: A blockchain-based tokenized representation tracking U.S. stock price and associated benefits, backed 1:1 by real shares held by a licensed custodian. Ownership exists as a token on-chain—not as direct holdings in a traditional brokerage account.
3. Does Bitget itself hold a broker-dealer license?
Services related to Bitget U.S. Stocks are provided by Parsa Financial Services Pty Limited, a subsidiary of Bitget Group. Parsa is a licensed financial services provider in South Africa (FSP No. 52563), regulated by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA).
Operations are conducted jointly with U.S.-licensed broker-dealers RQD Clearing and Atomic Vaults Securities. Client stock assets are exclusively custodied by U.S. clearing broker RQD Clearing, with strict segregation between client funds and Bitget’s proprietary capital. All operations comply fully with applicable regulatory frameworks in both South Africa and the U.S.
B. Account Opening & Management
1. Do I need to open a new account to use Bitget U.S. Stocks? Are there eligibility requirements?
Yes—you must open a separate securities sub-account. However, the system automatically reuses your existing advanced KYC verification completed on the main Bitget platform; no additional documentation is required.
Eligibility extends to users outside jurisdictions subject to regulatory restrictions.
2. What is the relationship between my Bitget U.S. Stocks account and my main Bitget account?
Your Bitget U.S. Stocks account is an independent sub-account nested within your main Bitget account.
Asset segregation applies: You must first transfer funds from your main account to your U.S. Stocks sub-account before trading. Assets in the sub-account are independently accounted for and do not affect other services on your main account.
3. Can I trade U.S. stocks directly using multiple cryptocurrencies or fiat currencies?
USDC and USD are supported for bidirectional conversion and deposits/withdrawals. Other cryptocurrencies or fiat currencies are not currently supported.
All Bitget U.S. Stocks accounts settle and price transactions in U.S. Dollars (USD); all trades are executed in USD.
C. Deposits & Funds
1. How do I deposit funds into my Bitget U.S. Stocks account?
If you don’t yet hold USDC in your main account:
● Deposit: Top up your main Bitget account with cryptocurrency;
● Exchange: Convert assets to USDC within your main account;
● Transfer: Move USDC from your main account to your Bitget U.S. Stocks securities account to begin trading.
If you already hold USDC in your main account:
● Transfer: Simply move USDC from your main account to your Bitget U.S. Stocks securities account to begin trading.
2. Can I deposit fiat directly? Is there a minimum deposit requirement?
Yes—you may use Bitget’s Instant Buy or P2P channels to convert fiat directly into USDC, then transfer it to your Bitget U.S. Stocks account. There is no minimum deposit threshold.
3. Can I withdraw funds to my bank account? Are there fees for deposits/withdrawals?
Yes. Standard withdrawal flow: USDC from your U.S. Stocks sub-account → back to your main account → exchange to fiat via Bitget’s fiat withdrawal channel → withdraw to your personal bank card (subject to official rules upon product launch).
Internal USDC transfers between main account ↔ U.S. Stocks sub-account: Free
Fiat deposit/withdrawal fees: Vary by payment method and service provider.
D. Trading & Fees
1. Which U.S. stocks can I trade? Does trading hours align with U.S. markets?
At launch, over 10,000 U.S. stocks & ETFs are available (exact list subject to the product page). Coverage will expand gradually to include more popular U.S. equities.
Trading hours fully mirror NASDAQ and NYSE—live synchronization with real-time market data.
2. What are the trading fees? Is there a minimum trade amount?
Standard trading fee starts at 0.1%; a 50% discount applies until August 31, 2026 (subject to display on the product page).
Minimum trade amount follows official rules post-launch, typically set at a reasonable threshold to ensure optimal trading experience.
3. Are there position limits or day-trading restrictions?
No restrictions. Day trading is fully permitted.
E. Shareholder Rights
1. Will I receive U.S. stock dividends? Do I have voting rights?
Yes—you’ll receive dividends pro-rata based on your actual holdings. Cash dividends are credited automatically to your Bitget U.S. Stocks account.
You retain corresponding shareholder voting rights. Voting mechanisms (e.g., proxy voting) follow Bitget U.S. Stocks product rules and official notifications.
What happens during stock splits, reverse splits, or mergers & acquisitions?
When corporate actions occur—including stock splits, reverse splits, or M&A events—your Bitget U.S. Stocks account holdings or values are automatically adjusted proportionally. No manual action is required.
2. Are my U.S. stock assets secure?
Yes. Your stock assets are held in custody by our licensed partner broker-dealers, strictly segregated from Bitget’s operational capital, and protected under applicable regulatory frameworks.
3. In what form are U.S. stock dividends distributed? Are they credited automatically? Do I need to take any action?
Bitget U.S. Stocks supports two dividend distribution methods—both automated and requiring zero manual claim:
Cash Dividend: Most common form. After the ex-dividend date, net-of-tax proceeds are automatically credited to your U.S. Stocks account’s USD available balance.
Stock Dividend: Some companies issue additional shares instead of cash. Upon distribution, your share count increases automatically.
F. Stock Transfers
1. Can I transfer stocks from another broker to Bitget U.S. Stocks?
Yes. Bitget U.S. Stocks supports stock transfers from traditional brokers. Simply submit a transfer request within your Bitget U.S. Stocks account and provide details about your original broker and current holdings to initiate the inbound transfer process. For exact steps and guidelines, refer to official instructions after product launch.
2. Are there transfer fees? How long does it take? Can I trade during the transfer process?
Bitget side: Receiving transfers is free.
Original broker side: Some outgoing brokers may charge transfer-out fees—please consult your current broker in advance.
Processing time: Typically 3–7 business days, depending on your original broker’s processing speed.
3. Which U.S. stocks are eligible for transfer?
In principle, major stocks listed on NASDAQ and NYSE are supported. For the most up-to-date list of eligible securities, please check the live “Supported Securities” section on the Bitget U.S. Stocks product page.
