Three Arrows Launched Together: A Complete Guide to Chromia's Incentivized Testnet Program
Chromia recently announced the official launch of its incentivized test program, a key step toward mainnet release. Participants can earn rewards while contributing to network security.

Chromia is a Layer-1 relational blockchain platform that uses a modular framework to provide dedicated dApp chains, customizable fee structures, and enhanced digital assets for users and developers. Additionally, Chromia supports natively queryable real-time data indexing, fundamentally transforming how on-chain information is structured and significantly simplifying end-user experiences to enable new Web3 business models.
Moreover, Chromia’s horizontal scalability enables parallel task processing, effectively supporting high-performance gaming dApps. For example, the flagship immersive game on its platform, My Neighbour Alice, allows players to build virtual land, interact with neighbors, complete daily activities, and earn rewards. It's no exaggeration to say that Chromia’s modular architecture and relational blockchain technology have the potential to transform how decentralized applications are developed and used.
Recently, Chromia announced the official launch of its incentivized testnet program—an important step toward mainnet deployment. Participants can contribute to network security while earning rewards, and they can also interact with testnet CHR tokens on networks supported by Chromia using the official Chromia wallet (Chromia Vault).
The incentive pool for this program totals 250,000 CHR tokens and includes three independent sub-projects, each running a candidate version of the Chromia mainnet—three initiatives launched simultaneously. Details are as follows:
1. HackNet (through June 28)
HackNet is designed for programmers and advanced users, offering opportunities to discover edge cases and explore Chromia’s code repositories on a sandbox network. The program offers up to 100,000 CHR in rewards, and feedback collected will be used to prepare for mainnet launch.
The goal of HackNet is to incentivize programmers and technical users to stress-test Chromia’s core software and identify edge cases. While anyone can submit reports, the program provides minimal guidance and is primarily intended for technically skilled individuals who can read code and/or interact with the blockchain without relying on frontend clients.
HackNet will conclude on June 28, aligning with the completion of Trail of Bits’ third-party audit, allowing the Chromia team to evaluate feedback and finalize the mainnet launch timeline.
2. ProjectNet (through July 26)
ProjectNet is tailored for developers and will serve as the hosting network for a Demo Dapp competition. Chromia will award a total of 50,000 CHR to the top three submissions.
The purpose of ProjectNet is to encourage developers to learn Rell and build on the Chromia blockchain. The Demo Dapp competition is open to individuals with experience in Web2 and Web3 application development, though prior experience with Rell is not required.
Chromia allows applicants to submit entries in any form—original creations, projects inspired by existing applications, or direct adaptations of applications originally written in other programming languages. Submissions are due by July 26, giving participants time to improve their Rell skills and implement their builds. Winners will be selected by a six-member panel from Chromia’s development, business development, and marketing teams, with the top three entries sharing the 50,000 CHR prize pool.
3. QuestNet (June 18 – August 30)
QuestNet aims to motivate both new and existing community members to explore Chromia and dApp-related features, encouraging interaction with core network functionalities such as Chromia Vault and specific decentralized applications.
The QuestNet program will launch on June 18 with introductory tasks and will expand over the following weeks. The reward pool totals 100,000 CHR tokens, with distributions determined through a series of post-program raffles. To prevent bot activity, eligibility criteria for raffles will not be disclosed in advance. However, generally speaking, the best way to maximize reward potential is to complete all available tasks, regularly check the dashboard, and stay updated on QuestNet developments by following Chromia on social media.
Key Takeaways
1. HackNet runs through June 28 and is designed for developers and other technical users.
2. ProjectNet runs through July 26 and is designed for developers.
3. QuestNet runs from June 18 to August 30 and is designed for everyday users; rewards will be determined and distributed after the program ends.
Alex Mizrahi, co-founder of Chromia, said he is excited to invite users to explore Chromia’s innovative platform through the incentivized testnet program—a chance to showcase Chromia’s technology ahead of mainnet launch, while also giving the community an opportunity to actively shape the future of the Chromia ecosystem.
