The Next NFT Bull Market, in the Base Ecosystem?
Besides the endless stream of fun NFTs, Warpcast has also given rise to new meme distribution channels.

At the end of March, Sartoshi, founder of the well-known NFT project Mfers, announced the launch of mfercoin—the meme token for Mfers—on Base. This move not only injected new vitality into the Mfer community but also opened a new door for the broader NFT ecosystem.
During the holiday period, NFTs on Base performed exceptionally well. Newly launched collections such as based punks, Degens by doy, and BasedBuddies saw strong trading activity on OpenSea. The price of based punks surged from an initial listing price of around 0.018 ETH to nearly 0.9 ETH at its peak.

Most NFTs on Base originate from Frames on Warpcast. Thanks to low fees and simple interactions, many NFT collections have relatively short lifecycles. However, earlier projects like onchain gaias and Based Mfers are still showing notable price performance. Jesse, protocol lead at Base, plays a key role in determining whether these NFTs break into the mainstream through his public endorsements.

When discussing NFTs on Base, one cannot overlook Zora, the art-focused L2 closely integrated with the Farcaster protocol. NFT activity on Zora is thriving, with the chain even being dubbed by the community as "a pure consumption chain—people come here just to spend money." During February’s wave of Farcaster-related FOMO, OG NFT series on Farcaster hit all-time highs, and recently, as market sentiment rises again, floor prices have once more surpassed 4 ETH.

Both Base and Zora are tightly linked to the Farcaster protocol. Since the introduction of the Frame feature on Warpcast, the ability to mint NFTs has become one of its most practical and widely used functions.
Recently, Jesse asked on social media if anyone was building NFT trading tools on Base—a sign that the current NFT boom on Base is only just beginning. Leveraging the strong community power of Warpcast, combined with Base’s and Zora’s deep-rooted culture of building, this ecosystem is poised to generate even more exciting innovations.

Beyond the constant stream of creative NFTs, Warpcast has also given rise to a new channel for meme distribution. Recently, crowdfunding platform Party introduced a new feature called Token Launcher, which allows participants to jointly contribute ETH to create a new token, with fairness programmatically ensured for all contributors. William M. Peaster, author at Bankless, believes that in an environment where meme coin presales are becoming increasingly unreliable, Party’s new feature could represent a significant shift for meme coin enthusiasts.
