HTX DAO provisional members delivered campaign speeches at the Huobi live stream: improving the $HTX burn mechanism and expanding application scenarios
The HTX DAO People's Committee will serve as a core force, focusing on the community's long-term interests and gradually advancing and implementing democratic self-governance.
On March 22, the second round of campaign speeches for the inaugural HTX DAO People's Committee was livestreamed via Huobi. Ten candidate members attended and delivered campaign speeches on new proposals, opening themselves up to public evaluation. Three committee members elected by HTX’s social media communities also participated, sharing their personal insights on HTX DAO governance.
The current proposal is based on three new directions provided by HTX DAO: the possibility of collaboration between HTX DAO and Meme projects, exploring broader decentralized governance models, and how HTX DAO can empower the exchange through $HTX and other means. Users can vote on the new proposals from 15:00 on March 21 to March 25. Ultimately, combining the voting results from both rounds of proposals by the ten candidates, 3–5 members will be selected to join the People's Committee.

During the livestream, regarding whether to support stimulating active exchange users through $HTX rewards, elected member Andy suggested proactively distributing some $HTX incentives to boost trader engagement, thereby building emotional connections with community followers and enhancing user stickiness. However, elected member Xu Jingbiao and some candidate members held differing views. Xu recommended that trading mining rewards should be linearly released, and free distribution of $HTX should be reduced.
In response, candidate member Yiran put forward a detailed proposal: First, $HTX rewards should not be used to stimulate exchange user activity, as easily obtained rewards may not be valued by users. Instead, alternative methods could be considered—such as gradually unlocking extended periods of fee-free trading for active users. Second, in terms of $HTX buybacks, the amount repurchased must significantly exceed the amount released, achieving an ultra-deflationary effect to enhance the value of $HTX. Meanwhile, to improve the experience and loyalty of $HTX holders, better trading experiences should be provided and community-building strengthened to promote the growth and development of the HTX community. He also emphasized: "Ensuring platform security is critical and can be achieved through various security measures to protect users' assets and data."
Candidate members Qiangren and Da Quanyoudian expressed strong agreement. Swordholder, in particular, stressed: "Maximizing the interests of HTX holders will be our core principle, ensuring every decision maximally increases the value and benefits of $HTX holders. We encourage open-minded thinking, actively seeking and exploring possibilities and innovative methods to ensure continuous development and innovation within the HTX ecosystem. We are committed to creating wealth-generation effects, bringing benefits and well-being to more people, thus achieving shared social and economic prosperity."
Additionally, it is widely known that during this bull market cycle, Meme coins have thrived while narratives around major cryptocurrencies have relatively stagnated. Therefore, the potential for HTX DAO to collaborate with Meme projects has drawn significant attention. Elected member Moon believes HTX DAO should cooperate with Meme project teams, learn from their communities about community-building, and even consider direct token swaps with related communities.
In line with this, candidate PPP voiced support and proposed: Introducing Meme concepts and leveraging dog-themed projects on-chain to drive market momentum. Another candidate, Xiao Liu, also suggested creating a culturally iconic symbol akin to Dogecoin to spark interest and identification. At the same time, richer offline activities should be organized to actively strengthen community cohesion and solidify consensus among members.
Regarding diversified decentralized governance models for HTX DAO, candidate Zhongben Xiaocong stated: Clear incentive mechanisms must be established to encourage user participation and contributions. Work mechanisms should also be clearly defined so all participants understand and abide by platform rules. By attracting or incubating more high-quality projects, the platform can offer additional value-added services. A system should be created to re-engage long-time users, improving user loyalty and activity. Furthermore, more exploration is needed into overseas digital nomad identities to help ordinary users better access international resources.
On this topic, candidate member Laozi King also proposed: Establishing SubDAOs and providing incentives to contributors to strengthen consensus. Throughout the decentralization process, transparency and openness must be maintained, adhering to principles of inclusivity, fairness, and freedom.
During the livestream, HTX DAO stated that the HTX DAO People's Committee will serve as a core force, focusing on the community’s long-term interests and progressively advancing and implementing democratic self-governance. As democratic autonomy deepens further, HTX DAO aims to gather wisdom and influence from the blockchain sector, shaping a new paradigm of decentralized ecological governance.
