With coin prices hitting new highs, how much more empowerment will xPET receive from this update?
Introduce new content to propel the flywheel through the death spiral.

With the sound of Christmas bells ringing, xPET and its token XPET have also reached new highs—XPET was trading at $0.8241 at the time of writing. The rise in the token price is not only due to the positive news of its listing on centralized exchanges (CEX) and advancing collaboration with OKX, but more importantly, because the team has updated its whitepaper.
What exactly has been updated? And how will these changes affect the game’s future development? Odaily Planet Daily will introduce and analyze them below.
New Roadmap
The first notable update in the new whitepaper is the detailed three-month roadmap released by founder @Michaeltalkhere. The specifics are as follows:
Adventure (PvE) - Week 1 (December 21 – December 28, 2023):
-
Launch Adventure (Player vs Environment) feature.
-
Allow users to send their pets on adventures.
PvP Beta Version (Private Test) - Weeks 2–3 (December 29, 2023 – January 11, 2024):
-
Develop and release a beta version of the PvP (Player vs Player) feature.
-
Limited private testing slots available to identify and resolve potential issues.
PvP Ver 1 (Public Release) - Week 4 (January 12 – January 18, 2024):
-
Release the first public version of the PvP feature.
-
Allow users to participate in PvP battles with enhanced functionality.
PvP Ver 2 (Full Version) - Weeks 5–6 (January 19 – February 1, 2024):
-
Finalize and complete the PvP feature based on user feedback and testing.
-
Introduce additional elements and improvements to enhance the PvP experience.
Multi-chain Support - Weeks 7–9 (February 2 – February 22, 2024):
-
Begin implementing multi-chain support.
-
Explore and integrate compatibility with multiple blockchain networks to enhance flexibility.
Additional SocialFi Features - Weeks 10–12 (February 23 – March 14, 2024):
-
Introduce additional SocialFi features.
-
Enhance the platform's social and interactive aspects to deliver a more engaging experience.
It’s clear that the project aims to be more than just another typical Social Ponzi narrative. Instead, it seeks to enrich its gaming ecosystem with deeper content. In previous versions, interaction between players and pets was limited to feeding and leveling up. The new roadmap introduces PvE and PvP functionalities, which will significantly increase player engagement. However, these updates may also lead some passive "set-and-forget" users to leave the platform.
Introduction of the PvE Mechanism
The first-week update of xPET introduced the PvE mechanism, allowing users to embark on exciting adventures with their pets. The specific mechanics are as follows:
Users can participate in adventures if they own a pet at level 10 or higher. Adventures are divided into three tiers, each corresponding to different areas where pets can participate:
Adventure Tier 1: Available to pets at levels 10 to 29.
Adventure Tier 2: Available to pets at level 30 or higher.
Adventure Tier 3: Only open during special events (each event varies—may be open to all or restricted to users meeting specific criteria).
Adventures offer rewards, primarily in the form of BPET tokens. The amount of BPET distributed is determined by 10% of the total revenue generated from purchases in the project’s store, pet upgrades, and factory upgrades from the previous day.
This 10% of total revenue is evenly distributed across all adventure tiers in BPET, with the exact allocation ratio depending on the proportion of players in each tier. Higher-level pets earn more BPET rewards during adventures, and rewards for each subsequent tier are always greater than those of the previous one.
Additionally, while participating in adventures, there is a chance to receive 1 to 5-star “xEGG” fragment rewards. These xEGG fragments can be combined to create NFTs—xEGGs—ranging from 1 to 5 stars.
The official team will also establish a leaderboard for players participating in PvE (leaderboard points will be calculated based on the number of pets a user owns, each pet’s level, factory level, and the number of boosts received). Additionally, 10% of the previous day’s total income from upgrade activities, pet purchases, etc., will be distributed among adventure participants, offering special benefits to early adopters. Their earnings will grow gradually as more users join.

Conclusion
Once thought to quickly spiral into decline, xPET has proven resilient and is now performing well. This latest update further reveals the team’s ambition—to expand the flywheel by introducing new mechanisms. Meanwhile, the SocialFi sector, impacted by both Friend.Tech and inscriptions, has seen declining interest.
Can xPET bring its envisioned narrative to life? Let’s stay tuned.
