The Web3 Gaming event, jointly hosted by GasZero, Tencent Cloud International, and Polygon Labs, was successfully held in Singapore.
The "Design, Build, and Scale Web3 Games" summit provides a dynamic platform for industry leaders and innovators to share insights and push the boundaries of what's possible in Web3 gaming.
The "Token2049 Side Event," co-hosted by GasZero—the first Web3 blockchain infrastructure platform with zero transfer fees—TencentCloud, and Polygon Labs, was successfully held in Singapore on September 12, 2023.

Speakers at the summit included Adam, co-founder of GasZero; Ken, Regional Director of Tencent Cloud Southeast Asia; and Marouen, Head of BD at Polygon Labs. Panelists represented leading industry companies including Pixelmon, Mythic Protocol, Axie Infinity, Shrapnel, Immutable, DappOS, Taiko, Chainlink, Razer, YGG, PIF Nation, and MarbleX.

Additional attendees included top-tier crypto exchanges Binance and OKX; well-known Web3 venture capital firms and foundations such as Animoca Brands, Shima Capital, Delphi Digital, Arcane VC, Spartan Group, Foresight Ventures, and Tron DAO Ventures; as well as major internet gaming companies like Tencent Games, NetMarble, Actoz, and Razer.

Centered around the theme "Designing, Building, and Scaling Web3 Gaming," the summit delved into three key topics: how to design the next generation of Web3 games; how to build and scale Web3 games; and how to adopt a user-centric approach to bridge Web2 and Web3.
- During the panel on "Designing the Next Generation of Web3 Games," participants discussed creating Web3 games with solid economic foundations—for instance, using NFTs to grant true scarcity and value to virtual assets. They explored ways to enhance player social interaction through built-in social features that enrich multiplayer online experiences. The importance of integrating decentralized and autonomous elements into game design was emphasized, enabling players to influence game development. Sustainability considerations were also addressed, including leveraging 0Gas to reduce transaction fees and foster ecosystem growth.

- In the "Building and Scaling Web3 Games" panel, discussions focused on adopting Layer 2 solutions such as zk-Rollups to improve scalability and performance for blockchain-based games. Interoperability across different blockchains was examined, allowing players to interact and exchange assets seamlessly. Emphasis was placed on building a healthy ecosystem supporting Web3 game developers—including tools, resources, and incentive mechanisms—and improving the overall user experience by ensuring fast, low-cost, and user-friendly transactions.

- The "User-Centric Bridging from Web2 to Web3" panel explored strategies for providing clear education and guidance to help Web2 users transition smoothly into Web3. Protecting user data and privacy to build trust was highlighted as critical. Discussions also covered achieving interoperability of data and assets between Web2 and Web3 systems, enabling seamless user migration, and leveraging reward mechanisms and token incentives to drive user engagement in the Web3 ecosystem.

During the event, GasZero co-founder Adam delivered a keynote presentation on the project’s vision, product narrative, and technical innovations, introducing the 0Gas solution designed to overcome the current Web3 traffic bottleneck. This solution offers users smooth, peer-to-peer Web3 interactions and fully addresses the three main barriers preventing mass Web2 adoption—mnemonic phrases, fiat onboarding, and contract interaction gas fees—through integration with AA wallets and payment gateways. Notably, GasZero is the world’s first blockchain infrastructure platform with zero transfer fees. Its feeless advantage brings significant potential for future growth. Widespread adoption of this technology will enhance usability and scalability across the blockchain industry, accelerating the development of the Web3 ecosystem. Currently, GasZero's testnet Alpha 1.0 has officially launched and is expected to run for 3–6 months.

Additionally, GasMirror.com—an analytical tool developed jointly by GasZero, Footprint Analytics, and Geno to track users’ cumulative gas fee expenditures—was demonstrated live by Co-Founder Adam, who engaged with guests to explore existing pain points related to gas fees. The tool has drawn notable attention within the blockchain community, indicating its potential to help users better understand gas fee dynamics.

The "Design, Build, and Scale Web3 Gaming" summit served as a dynamic platform for industry leaders and innovators to exchange insights and expand the boundaries of possibility in Web3 gaming. Attendees took meaningful steps forward in advancing the Web3 gaming ecosystem through hands-on experiences and cutting-edge tools like GasMirror.
